Terrible service all around! I kept a lot of stuff there for 3+ years, I went to take stuff out, and the whole storage unit was covered in mice shit! A bunch of my stuff was ruined, they wouldn't do anything for me, and wanted to charge me to throw my stuff out that got ruined!! I called and filed a claim with their insurance, and they denied me!

UPDATE!! Confirmed with my bank I was charged 2x!! When my husband called them back the computers were conviently down! (I am not an idiot I know the difference between pending (hold) and authorized) Wish there was an option for negative stars. They definitely don't deserve 1 Just had the worst customer service from the owner/manager at Uhaul!! DO NOT use them. I called for a concern on the charge for a Uhaul rental. 2 charges on my credit card. She just read off the contract. I tried to explain her it was a clear charge/purchase on my account not a hold. When I called her out on her attitude and lack of customer she became irate yelling at me insisting she speak to me husband, he picked up the truck and signed the agreement. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Drive the extra couple of miles for an alternative. I should have read the reviews prior to renting from them. Seems as the owner/manager has a history of terrible customer service.

Where to start? First, I only had a minor issue with Danvers location, my big issue is with the system used to book and install hitches. I called my local MA UHAUL dealer and was directed to what I thought was a local person that sets an appointment for a trailer hitch. He states that I am in luck, my local UHAUL dealer has a hitch in stock. I provide my CC # and told someone will call me to confirm my appointment. One week passes, no call to confirm, so I call again. I do not get a local person, but a call center. They can't find my record and tell me someone locally will call me back. That never happened. I call later that day and get another person. She hunts down my record to let me know that my appointment is set in Tacoma WA. That is 3,600 miles away. I inform her that I am in MA, not WA and need an appointment closer. She apologizes and finds a local UHAUL dealer, the part is not in stock and my appointment is in one week. Takes my CC# (where did my first one go) and tells me someone will call to confirm. Someone does call and I am all set. I get to the Danvers MA location for my appointment 10 min early. The installer and staff seem nice and I am informed that this install might take an hour and a half. I was told 1/2 hour, he laughs and I am instructed to sit in their make shift waiting room, which is a chair next to the register. I ask about WIFI so I can work while I wait...nope. I do notice they have secured WIFI, but do not want to give me their top-secret code. Great news is my car was done in 1/2 hour, so I did not have to wait in that less than appealing store. I did receive a 10% discount for all my troubles, but in the end did not feel the current booking system in place, instills confidence that product I received will be worth the investment. All around, bad experience. Would not recommend to friends and family.

My husband and I had an appointment here at 8am to have a hitch installed on our Dodge Charger. When we arrived, we were told that the technician wasn't even supposed to come in until eleven, and the technician had another appointment at eleven that he didn't even know about. So they told us that there was nothing they could do and that they could try to fit is in at 1pm. We live an hour and a half away so we decided to go to one closer and pay a little extra since we have a long day of loading up a trailer.

I wouldn't even give one star. It's not particularly the Danvers location, but while moving, DO NOT USE UHAUL. 0 stars. I booked a truck and tow with the preferred location being Danvers a month and a half before the date. As the date approached, I kept calling and they said they wouldn't know the time for truck pick up until the day before, obviously inconvenient when people are coming to help you move and you need a time. They didn't call. Finally I got in touch with a human 730 pm the night before our move and we were told we were to drive an hour and a half to pick up our truck. Obviously, I was pissed. We're supposed to drive an hour and a half from our home at 7 am to get a truck I booked over a month ago. I talked to 3 people at UHaul and corporate and they claimed not one truck was available closer, so obviously they did not respect our reservation being made far in advance. It gets worse: after an hour on the phone to no avail, we decide my husband will make the drive alone then attach the tow and drive back up so we don't have to bring our newborn baby who screams in the car. Five minutes later I get a call from a different UHaul location an hour from the first saying THEY have our towing unit and that ten location we are getting the truck doesn't have one. So we are to drive 3 HOURS TOTAL to get our truck and towing unit. I call around and get managers' names and it is all blame-shifting. No one claims responsibility, even high up people. No one will help nor refund any sort of money or gas for the major pain in the ass. Clearly, there's some covering up going on as they majorly messed up our reservation. Even the guy at corporate was confused as to why they split up the truck and tow. Corporate bullshit. DO NOT USE UHAUL.
