They rent junk. I had to repair a part while driving on the highway. The vechicle had rot and broken parts. I ordered a 4×4 truck, which was ordered more than month before. This place use be reliable and their vehicles in good shape. I have rented from them for about six years. They also charge me $400.00 for some dog hair on the floor. It doesn't cost 4 hundred to vacuum floor mats. I'm done with this place. I already notified my insurance company to no longer send me there.Once again they use a automated apology to pasifie customers with a issue. Send it off to the local office, wich they have no management. They currently own me $200.00 for parts and repairs.I reached out to the local Dartmouth Ma. branch, but got no where. I talked to a woman on the phone and explained the situation. I have not received any reply back as of yet.

Hertz is always a quick easy pickup for rentals.

Due to being rear ended and my car being totaled back in January the person who was at fault did not have rental on her policy but the Insurance company covered the rental for me for a few weeks through Hertz. I've always gone through Enterprise if I've needed a rental but honestly my experience with Hertz in North Dartmouth was not only smoother, but the upfront deposit you need to put down that they hold until the vehicle is returned was only $50 compared to $100-$200. I'm not sure if that was because I did everything online the day before and reserved the car or if they were just cheaper. The process I found was much faster as well with both picking up the car and returning the car compared to some of my experiences at Enterprise were I've been there 45 mins or longer waiting and going over paperwork or staff stopping to help customers that are dropping off vehicles. The staff at Hertz were focused, and in less than 10 minutes, I had the key, paid, and signed, and I was gone. Same with the return, it wasn't a long drawn-out process. He checked the mileage, gas walked around the car, and printed a receipt, and I was done. Staff were also more approachable as well. Will definitely be using Hertz in North Dartmouth if I ever need a rental again!!!

To be compelled to write a review, the experience either has to be amazing or just down right the worst. Hertz dartmouth was definitely the latter. The second we walked in there was this vibe so off putting it made us feel like we weren’t wanted - just another inconvenience for them. After what felt like a good 5 mins standing there, we weren’t even acknowledged after everyone looked up from their desk then looked backed down. Finally, we got a “Do you have a reservation?” from the lady behind her desk. She proceeded to ask us if we “checked our voicemail” and that there was a message for us. She kept asking us to check it and even go as far as look up the phone number they called us from and see a missed call. Was she trying to prove to us that she made a phone call? We were there, in person, why not just tell us what the message was? Apparently they didn’t have any vehicles for us. They basically left it at that. She could have said something on the lines of “we could see if another location has anything available”. Nothing. Until we asked. She couldn’t be bothered. We had more questions. I was done with her. We asked about certain forms of payment to the other gentleman. Honestly, why would a company accept a certain bank online and then refuse it in person? As it being 2024, we have come to an almost completely digital world and companies should be able to adapt. What made me even more upset is that the initial lady piped up and said “even you use gift card, doesn’t mean we’d accept it.” First and foremost, I wasn’t talking to her. Secondly, she should thought about resolving the issues at hand and not state all the problems. This role is customer service based position and she failed miserably. My suggestion is to retrain her and teach her ways to increase guest satisfaction. Clearly it has been stated in previous reviews about the awful service others have had and I couldn’t agree more.

If I could give a zero oh boy would I. First off why would you have a phone if you don’t answer it.

My car was side swiped by a bus and my son’s basketball hoop fell on my windshield, so I needed a rental. Made a reservation for the next day because they didn’t have any acre available. When I got there they only had a Tesla and another electric car. I was charged an upgrade fee even though I didn’t want an electric car. Called back within a week to switch it and they still didn’t have anything besides a Tesla. My husband and I called 2 other hertz and they too had nothing but electric cars. I don’t like charging it everyday for an hour. It’s ridiculous! I dropped it off at a different location in the manager told me my insurance company hasn’t paid since the 15th and he wasn’t going to put it through yet so I wouldn’t be charged and to call my insurance company which I emailed them because it was 5 PM. Not even two days later hertz charged my debit $1079. They didn’t even let me know and I didn’t get a receipt. So I called the Dartmouth location and they were so rude. The manager was very nice and she emailed me the receipts, but she wasn’t helpful on how to get my money back. My truck was in the shop for 70 days and the staff there were so rude. She pretty much called me and my husband a liar I will never rent from them again.

I would give them a zero if I could. I have NEVER been treated the way I was at this location. I had a reservation for 330pm to pick up the car. The customer service employee was on the phone(never looking up) until 410pm. Finally she got off the phone and I told her I had made a reservation for 330pm. She told me should couldn’t help me if she was on the phone taking reservations. Anyway, I said ok. She then told me she couldn’t take a debit card (even with a deposit) because I didn’t make the reservation at least 24 hours prior. So I went to sit backdown and I reserved a car with Enterprise. I told them about Enterprise and I was told “no one’s stopping you from going there”. Before I finally walked out the door to wait for an Uber, I was told that I was the one who came it with an attitude I have no words!! ****the woman I dealt with said she was a manager so that’s sets the tone right there. But thanks for the generic apology response

1st rental I had smelled of cigarettes and when I went to pick up another I was given 3 options. One of the options was missing the inside driver handle, the other was not recommended because it also smelled of smoke and the one I took home hadn't been cleaned yet. There were cheetos on the back floor and food on the steering wheel. Since I had no more options, I ended up cleaning the rental myself.

After being burned before, I decided to give Hertz another chance - never again. A reservation means nothing. They’ll let you book it but that does not mean they will have anything. Very infuriating to deal with every time you try to use Hertz.

Two months ago I had an insurance rental car and the tire went flat and hertz said to give them the receipt and they would reimburse me, I submitted everything but they wouldn’t do anything till I gave them a 1 star review. Then they reached out to me and have since been acting like they would fulfill on their promise, now it is over 2 months later and they still have not reimbursed me they keep promising the money will be coming soon but they’ve been saying that for 2 months now. Do not rent from this location if anything goes wrong with the car and they request you to pay for the fix and they will reimburse you, you will not get your money back

If i could give 0 stars, I would. I do not recommend this Hertz rental, unless you’re beyond desperate to be denied the second you walk in. I rented a car that didn’t say it wasn’t under the dream collection, it was the first car i saw and it was a tesla. 23 year old me wanting to save gas after spending 800$ on a unexpected car rental, was thinking it would be smart. I get there and the guy at the desk was going to give me the car until a lady double looked at me and dug for my age. Once the lovely women found out my age, she harshly said i can’t rent that car and gave me 0 options for another vehicle. My mother called to see if she could rent any car but the tesla and they said yes for same day rental. The women simply didn’t like me nor my age, and quite frankly it was a reflection of the business’s attitude. Absolutely horrific. They then said i’d receive my money back after 5 days and told me to have a good day. I then sat outside in their parking lot, in the rain until my ride arrived. DO NOT GO HERE.
