On June 24, 2025 I purchased 12 outdoor chairs at Target in Dartmouth, MA. I had just had surgery and wasn't allowed to lift anything and was not planning to make a purchase like that. I asked for assistance getting the chairs onto a cart and out to the parking lot to my friend's pick up truck. Within minutes Martin was there with a cart to assist. Not only did Martin, quickly and efficiently get all the outdoor chairs onto the cart, he throughly explained to me the proper process for getting the outdoor chairs into my friend's truck upon his arrival. Martin was friendly, professional and attentive. It was a very hot day and I could tell that he had already been paged to assist other customers while we waited but he remained engaged with a positive attitude despite the challenges he was facing. He insisted on helping load the chairs into the truck and overall just went above and beyond. I was not surprised to find out that he was one of the first employees hired when Target in Dartmouth, MA opened over 20 years ago and has been part of the team since. While finding effective customer service assistance in retail stores is typically a challenge for me, experiencing Martin's commitment to ensuring a positive experience for his customers was refreshing.

Good store for shopping and for basic needs such as food, and decorations, and all of necessities. Heads up, one issue is the website/app. The online store tends to be inaccurate sometimes and can be a little frustrating. Overall, good staff and friendly service.

Never enough cashiers, Sunday afternoon with 2 lanes open, self checkout line 15 people long, even longer for the cashier lines. Doesn’t matter the day or time, never enough registers open. Usually end up leaving without buying anything because of this. I’ll go elsewhere

It’s crazy they let their employees sit right by the door smoking. I’ve literally never not walked in without someone literally smoking right by the entrance. It’s not hard to just designate a smoking area out back. Also it kinda looks like a 3rd world country inside.

This target sold me a defective laptop and refused to refund my purchase, avoid this location when buying electronics.

How the hell does this store only have 1 cashier working at every hour of the day. 5 minutes to shop and 45 minutes to check out.

Store was neat and fully stocked however it's 9:30am on a busy Saturday morning - one cashier and self checkout is fully closed.

My experiences have been positive at this target other than not having self checkout open in the mornings for some reason. I feel like it used to be open but lately it hasn’t been in the mornings. I don’t know lol anywho, I’m a target girl over Walmart. I love that they price match Walmart and Amazon. Also love that they are close to my school and make getting a last minute lunch super convenient and affordable. I come here at least once a week for the past 3 years communing to campus. The staff have always been pleasant to interact with, and helpful. I’m shocked by all the reviews here, It’s just like all the other targets as far as my experience goes.

This target used to be nice but it has gone so down hill.... The store at any given day at any given time looks like a hurricane went through it. The price gauging, the lines that wrap around the store, never having what you need.... This store is not worth it by any means.

Today I purchased 2 boxes of fresh step cat litter that Mark at the service desk held for me. There was also someone who went and got it for Mark ( sorry do not know his name), these 2 associates should be praised for there hard work. They were courteous and friendly. I'm not sure if your company gives praise to associates that do an outstanding job but if you do please recognize these 2 individuals.

horrible customer service at the registers and customer service desk. store was an absolute mess. so many staff standing around talking and nobody cleaning or assisting guests. unbelievable

After returning an item at the customer service desk (which took about 10 minutes) to complete I then decided to shop at the store. After shopping I was cashing out at the register using my “red card” and noticed that one of my items on sale rang in for $25 instead of $20. I informed the cashier and she told me “ when I get done cashing you out you can go back into the store (with my merchandise) and take a picture of the sale price, then bring it to customer service where you can wait in line for a refund.” ? I then asked to speak to a manager because I thought well that is just ridiculous. She looked left and right and said “well I don’t see one right now” then proceeded to cash out the customer behind me. I did as I was told and it did take a while, needless to say I am very disappointed in the customer service that I have received at target. I am a regular customer and spend a lot of money there. Hopefully something can be done about this so called policy that they have in place for items ringing up incorrectly.

Let’s be honest, Target’s “Clearances” are not what they used to be…$17.99 marked down to $13.99 is not a CLEARANCE.However, going to Target has always been a pleasurable experience. Normally, it’s clean, employees are friendly and helpful and the signage in the store is sufficient.I do wish they had a bigger selection of home office-type products.
