I loved the vibe. Soooo much quieter and calmer and friendlier than a Starbucks or Dunkin, even though the place was filled with people coming in and out. Everyone spoke quieter. You could actually work here. Also, the food options were so creative, and the server got excited with me about experimenting, and we made a peach blossom lemonade, which was divine :-).I think one mark of a good cafe is how they let their customers enjoy and customize foods and drinks, and this place gets 5 stars!!!

When I am in Dedham, this is the place to go for coffee.

The coffee shop in Dedham was bustling; waited 15 minutes for a table. Despite its small size, the coffee was good. Diverse crowd – students studying, parents with kids, and adults enjoying Sunday morning. The bakery smelled amazing, though I didn't try any. Busy baristas, constant movement. Will return to explore more coffee items and breakfasts.

This is a cute little store, coffee is good, staff are friendly. It's a little small for seating.

Love this place and it deserves all five stars.Just to give some hopefully helpful feedback:- I would love to make this spot my "third place" which I would imagine lead to a lot of my business however the internet is so impossibly slow that I unfortunately cannot rely on it being my spot.-I work from home most day and would love to do most of my work there because it is a perfect neighborhood spot. However, I recently was forced to take my business to Life Alive in Legacy due too the internet being so slow.

I really want to like this place more than I do. I've had some disappointing drinks and some sad sandwiches, but also some good ones here and there. It seems like proportions of flavorings (in drinks) and condiments (for sandwiches) often vary, so I never know if I'll get something I like or not. I do like the general vibe and atmosphere, but it's small and often crowded. The doorway has a step too, which makes it inaccessible for wheelchair users.

I finally got to stop in. This quaint coffee & sandwich shop is a reminder of days of yore with the solid furniture possible meant to keep the flow of customers' comings & going. I met up with a friend and enjoyed an opportunity to sit casually while talking and eating a very delicious artesian sandwich with Cape Cod Chips. Then, sipping a beverage with a wonderful fresh baked good. Big Bear had a constant flow of polite customers of all ages with several orders of hot & cold beverages to go.If you need a break from the local, faster, impersonal coffee & bakery shops, this is the place for you. If you prefer quaint, delicious, personal, and have time to enjoy a coffee with a baked sweet bread, then you found your place. Cheers!
