Nice place to sit and have a picnic. I think you can rent a canoe here as well. I will try that one day.

Starting 9/7 they are going to charge $100 for non-residents to use the park. Definitely a bummer to ask that kind of money to use a public park and get your dog exercise and socialization with other dogs.

Dedham Park & Recreation has lots of activities for kids of all ages. There's also a Dog Park, a small raised pots garden, a couple of fields to play soccer or baseball. There's an upper and lower lot to park and a beginner waking path into a wooded forest area.Today I noticed LLBean had their kayak and boarding classes, as I did not participate in the classes I did observe the instructors guide about a dozen High School or College Student threw the Dedham Wetland Boat Access Ramp and was able to hear some of the ways to safety maneuver themselves through this portion of the river. Quiet, serene beautiful place to view nature's gifts.

Parks & fields are kept in good shape. RussCraft fields are great for baseball, ok for kids soccer. The artificial softball field at Rec HQ is a great field and surface. On a windy night there is no dust & dirt flying. Overall for a large town and tight budgets fields are in pretty good shape.

Great dog park! We come here 3-4 times a week. Completely fenced in, huge area with trees and benches, and the other owners and dogs are very friendly.
