I ordered a Bosch dishwasher (with delivery and installation) on December 12th. It was supposed to be put in in early January. By the end of January I had pages of notes full of traces of failed communications, misinformation, sunk time and energy trying to track down the machine and coordinate its installation. I just got handed around and around and nothing happened the way it was supposed to and nobody saw their job through successfully. There were so many individual and systemic failures. My notes include lines like, "CLEARLY THEY ARE TOTAL FAILURES AT COMMUNICATION AND RECORD-KEEPING AT LOWES," and, "I WANT MY TIME BACK." The whole thing was just awful. Never again, Lowes!

Not happy with most of the sales personnel in the store. No one to be seen in most of the departments. The paint department is where you will find people. If they are in a good mood they may help. Cashiers are good, some times. I suggest having a professional carpenter, or painter or any other contractor go in for you! You could rob them blind with no staff. Home Depot is no better.

I have been a customer of Lowes for 20 years. I somehow prefer Lowes over HomeDepot. I have been to many Lowes and my favorite one is in Framingham. After moving to a new house, the closest one to me is located in Dedham. The rating of this Lowes is the lowest of all the ones I have been to. After just 3 visits, I can understand why. The staff in the drywall/construction department was unhelpful. I asked him where the joint compound was located, he just starred at me and after a few seconds, he said he doesn't know. He seemed miserable and hated his job. I am surprised a person who worked in that department doesn't know where joint compound was located. I think he just didn't want to help. The pickup counter staff was also rude. The lady was practically yelling at me. She asked me what my order number was and in the middle of telling her, she yelled at another customer saying he needed to check out before taking the merchandise to his car even though he paid. She could have just talked to him without yelling. She looked at him for a good minute while I was waiting for her to be ready for my order number. She was still looking at that man and started yelling by saying she was still waiting for my order number. I explained that she was in the middle of a conversation with that customer and I didn't want to interrupt and she didn't have to yell. All these times she didn't even make eye contact. She was mumbling at the machine complaining how she didn't log in right.I am not saying these are bad people but I think they hated what they were doing and other staff I met seemed miserable. Perhaps it was a management issue more than the individuals. At any case, I really wish the Lowes I will be going to is more pleasant. They don't have to help me but at the minimum, don't make me feel like I am treading on thin ice and risk being yelled at.

I went to Lowe's Dedham the day after Black Friday, when stores were still packed. I found a dishwasher on an incredible deal that fit exactly what I was looking for; one employee was really struggling to set up the purchase for me, since there were none left in stock. They were about ready to give up when another employee, Sean Austin, came over and offered to help. He then spent a solid 20+ minutes with me sorting out placing the order and answering questions; since the vendor couldn't provide ETA estimates over the weekend, he gave me his email and said he'd follow up for me on Monday. He did follow up, and even managed to coordinate an accelerated delivery for me. After an issue with the install team (not Lowes' fault), he did extra work once again to ensure there were no hiccups for my installation. The experience made it feel like I went to a small local appliance shop service-wise - it's not something I've ever experienced at a large global retailer, and I still can't believe how positive an experience it was, especially compared to much less positive experiences at Lowes' primary competitor. I will 100% go to Lowe's for my next appliance thanks to this experience. Thank you Sean!!!

I love Lowe's more than home Depot. My company spends all their money with Lowe's instead of Home Depot.

Employees are rude and full of attitudes. Items on the floor has no sticker for price. I waited 20mins at self checkout because none of the employees want to ring customer out. Mink the employee there didn't want to help. She saw a guy that was attempting to steal and proceed to let him walk out and then tried to make a big deal out of it. Had 4 other associates trying to see if he's outside...if he was there to steal, he would had been left. I asked her to enter the item number for me so I can checkout...she said she needs to call someone... I don't understand why she couldn't... But don't go here. Waste of time. Paying for attitude that I didn't ask for. And corporate won't care or retrain their employees so no point.

The delivery service is horrible! Right now at 1:30 pm on 12/14 on website I see 'We are running a little behind. Should be arriving soon'. in reality my refrigerator planned to be delivered fro 7:30 to 11:30. i called to warehouse and they told me that a driver called me several times and I didn't answer and no delivery will be today. But i didn't get any voicemail and just one missing call and that call was dropped. I called immediately back and left several voicemails even wasn't sure that I'm calling to the driver. Now I was forced to reschedule , but I'm leaving for business trip and need to involve my friends to wait for delivery on 12/16. I'm very frustrated because I bought the refrigerator on Nov 27 with delivery date in 3 weeks (!!) on Dec 14. I took a day off and for nothing. Lowe's needs to improve communication style with customers. Today's situation shouldn't be tolerated.

Lowe’s in Dedham is my go-to for home improvement needs. The aisles are well-stocked, and finding what I need is a breeze. Last visit, I was charmed by a helpful associate who guided me to the perfect shade of paint for my kitchen. It’s more than a store; it’s a helpful neighbor in my home improvement journey.

Bought an Electrolux washing machine for $900 from Lowe’s, was told by the sales associate in appliances that it was free delivery for anything over $400. We get the receipt and notice that there’s an $80 delivery charge on receipt and she apologized and tells us to stop by the service desk and they will refund the shipping costs. We go to the service desk and the associates tell us that Lowes no longer honors the free delivery so we are stuck with paying this delivery cost, now take in mind that we went to Lowe’s expecting to walk out with an “in stock unit” which they no longer have due to everything now being be shipped from their Wilmington warehouse. Nonetheless we were told that the shipping was free and told by the service desk either we have to deal with the $80 charge or cancel this order outright. After 3hrs in Lowes and lied to about free shipping we decided to cancel this order. Once this gets cancelled we realize that we used our debit/bank acct and the service desk associate decides to tell us that the funds “should” be back in out acct in about 2-3 days… Wait a minute? We just paid over $900 and now you’re telling me that we have to wait several days before we get our money back??? I asked for the manager she came over and tried to fix things but when the service desk associate cancelled our order he finalized everything and screwed us from getting any resolution to the situation furthermore putting over $900 of our money in a hold over for several days. Never again will we shop or purchase anything from Lowes, if I wanted to order a washer online and have it delivered I could have bought my washing machine through Amazon, maybe that’s what I’ll have to do from now on..

Of course I won’t take it and inside that truck I can’t see very well. I said is that a stainless steel and that they leave a said no it’s not I said so that’s the wrong order. I ordered the side of stainless steel and if it’s not a stainless steel that’s not my order It’s broken so they left and I have to keep calling because they asked me to call spend hours hours on the phone and the customer service never pick it up and I was so upset because I can’t hold it for that long. My battery almost ran out so my my contractor said let me cause use his phone different number. They immediately pick it up so it’s not busy. They just don’t answer your call And I still don’t have a solution. I asked I need to talk to the manager and the manager gave me after spend some time to explain the manager give me another day they said I can refund you I said no I want the machine I’m attendance waiting for the machine so they give me November 15, so I’ll I have to be there 8 o’clock was cold and I don’t have a Wi-Fi enough and It’s a long day I can’t leave I can’t go to have my lunch I can’t go to the bathroom because I’m so free I’m a miss them and until 130 nobody showed up so I checked the email. There’s no email nothing like a first time so I called the deliver. Matt are you going to deliver me because I have his number last time he said no I don’t have a delivery I said oh my God I’m a shock so I immediately called the store and the same thing they don’t answer me they said hotel hotel and they show it but I hold up from 130 till after 3 PM And and my son from home I’ll get on the computer I have to talk. I said mom come home they’re not going to deliver today without with no reason no apology nothing and I wasted another day and we have to keep calling keep calling. What’s the third day you can give it to me now the single apology and they feel so arrogant. I’m going to hang up I’m going to hang up And my son said is this a threat because you don’t service you took my money October right now is it me or November we haven’t get the machine and that’s not a small amount it’s over $5000 unbelievable and now we have to cancel it today and on the 16th and we have to wait over seven or 10 days to get my credit backand they only refunded half half and they know I paid for both machine not a half and they just refunded 2000 something I will never go back to low. The customer service was so bad it’s not just a bad it’s terrible.

DO NOT USE LOWE'S FOR A NEW KITCHEN. I cannot stress enough the poor workmanship and customer service we received from Lowes. The initial process and design went well. From there, it was a nightmare. It took forever for Lowes to give us a date of when they would come out. When they finally did come out, they sent out two of the worst contractors I have ever experienced. 1) To start, during the demolition of our cabinets specific items were torn out, and not replaced properly, that we did not expect to lose in our kitchen. To start, 2 junction boxes, that were located near our microwave and oven, were torn out and tossed outside in the trash. We had to locate them ourselves so they could be put back in. We were told by the installer company, very harshly, they do not replace any electrical work. If they had the ability to take out the junction boxes, why could they not put them back in. We had to pay an electrician, out of pocket, to replace them. They left a trash pile that sat on our front lawn for over 7 full days before being picked up. 2) As the installers were removing our sink, they forcibly removed, and cut up, all PVC piping. They then tossed all piping outside with the trash. When asked why they did this, they had no answer. We had to pay a plumber, out of pocket, to replace hot and cold-water piping to our sink. 3) During demolition, installers cut back trim of our flooring and forcibly removed some pieces. This caused warping of our floorboards. The floorboards that are close to the cabinets do not stay in place. Cutting back pieces was not necessary for the installation of the cabinets and we are unsure why they did this. 4) Installers did not follow any of the Lowes Kitchen layout that we put together with our Lowes Design consultant. This left a gap that we were told could not be fixed. 5) Lastly, the crown molding is not the original crown molding we received with our cabinet delivery. This is because the installers did not follow the kitchen layout we designed and did not measure properly. They installed the top cabinets too high, so the crown molding did not fit. The installer company left without any direction on how to proceed after that. After various phone calls, and 4 full months of waiting, we had different crown molding installed to fit. We wanted a partial refund due to the poor service, work, and long time frame. They gave us a $1K without reviewing anything and would not budge on this, no matter what. Even after we sent them all the information, they did not care. They basically threw it at us and said take it or leave it. Go anywhere but Lowes!
