626 High St, Dedham“University stationeryRight down the street from MIT is one of the oldest local, long standing businesses at some 90 years serving our area. I gravitate to these places which add so much character to the Boston area. Small yet strong through the unique better products they curate with a smile and maybe even a story of the Cambridge area they know so well.We will be back girls :)”
“I was so happy to see the range of unique, quality gifts they offer! They came shipped in impeccable care and included a lovely postcard highlighting the family’s story. Would happily order from them again”
“Either solid wood or veneer furniture made to order fairly quickly. Are some ready-made pieces. Knowledgeable and sensible team at work. Well located between Central Square and Harvard in Cambridge.”

“Wonderful store with very helpful and knowledgeable staff! Most recently, I called ahead only to ask if something was in stock and when I went to the store much later in the day they had the item packed and ready for me to pick up! It makes my day every time I visit them.”

255 State St #3b, Boston“Bruce the owner is an awesome guy and so laid back. We needed an office chair for my 6 foot 4 college kid who is home on break until February. I called Bruce, told him what we were looking for and he had 3 chairs brought into his store for my son to try out. My son picked one and Bruce said for him to take it home and test drive it for as long as you like to make sure it was a good fit. No deposit, no contact information required, just let Bruce know how it worked out. Almost 3 weeks later we returned the chair, just not what the tall kid wanted. Felt bad not buying from him. Great guy and recommended.”

“The Boston General Store is a great store to visit. It is like many other stores with "general store" or "country store" in their name in that it has a variety of products for your home. They have stuff for the kitchen, bathroom, and other miscellaneous items like art supplies, tools, and candles. They also carry locally sourced goods like Vermont made jams. A lot of their products seem to be of good quality and they seem to focus on sustainability. For example, they are able to refill soap dispensers to avoid the waste of buying new ones. They also have a very nice selection of quality kitchen knives. If you can't drop by the store, they have a website where you can order many of the same products you see in store. I still recommend going in person for the experience.”
