I had a right knee MRI on 9/6. The staff was amazing starting with the front desk person and continuing on to the two women who did the MRI. Can’t say enough good things about them.

This is a terrible, unprofessional, inconsiderate and disorganized company! They have booked my MRI 3 times with errors! I arrive to my appointments after driving over an hour to only be told they cannot do my MRI at the site they booked the test! I can understand 1 time error but 3 times. They don’t care if u have to drive or take time from work or the pain you’re in! I will never use This company! Stay way

This is my first review ever, and it’s negative. I had an MRI 10 days ago at Shields MRI in Dedham. The appointment was made by the orthopedic office I go to. For my test I was only given 2 little orange sponge inserts for ear protection, nothing else. When the test started I immediately complained about the noise because it was deafening. The test was stopped and the female tech added two soft ear muffs that felt like powder puffs. I wasn’t able to see what they looked like because I had to stay immobilized. I asked for a headset for hearing protection but was told I couldn’t have it because it wouldn’t fit in the space provided for my head. I complained during the entire test and was told things like “the next test is only 1 1/2 minutes, the next test is only 21/2 minutes etc etc until it was done. It’s 10 days now and I’ve had ear pain ever since in both ears, worse on the right, sometimes including my cheek bone. The female tech confided that she had had the same test as me and agreed that it was extremely loud. She even confided that some patients have even lost their hearing for a few days, “but then it came back”! I wish I had known this ahead of time. She also suggested that for future MRI’s I should go to the Wellesley office where they have newer state of the art equipment. I was told that the machine I was in was used for mobile testing originally and was old and loud. She suggested that I complain about this older equipment to her higher ups. I’ve made numerous calls to the office manager, Kelly White, and asked her to call me back but no return calls. I’d give Shields no stars but that’s not an option. This test was barbaric! To say I’m disgusted with Shields is an understatement. I’ve since learned that there are machines used for orthopedic patients where the head stays out of the machine. I wish I had known that. I hope the pain goes away soon and I haven’t compromised my hearing.

Kept getting rescheduled. Would call me aggressively to get me scheduled. When I didn't immediately respond, called my doctor to get a different number to call me at. When I tried to call them myself, I couldn't get through.

All of the staff here knows about patient relations. The are helpful and totally engaging. They are kind and have humor. There is minimal waiting time and a good system. The physical space is clean and they have great coffee and water. The only thing missing is an automatic door into the waiting room.We would prefer to go there than a hospital for imaging.

My 15 year-old daughter had an MRI of her knee on 4/3/19 and it was a wonderful experience. The front desk check in woman was friendly and kept us up to date on the schedule. My daughter said the two radiology techs made her comfortable and put her at ease. They apologized for a minor delay and offered a handwritten note apologizing for delay with a gift card which was totally unnecessary as we had a very positive experience.
