“In a perfect world every car would be bright, shiny and reliable and every car salesman would be helpful but not too pushy or overbearing. This isn't a perfect world but the experience I've had at Camden Motors in Dorchester is as close to an ideal car buying situation as I could ask for. I've been going to Camden's as long as I've been buying cars (starting in 1985) and I'll continue to do so, based on the quality of vehicles they sell and their helpfulness during the sale. Camden's stocks a variety of used vehicles, from more recent models with some mileage on them to higher mileage vehicles. He gets them from a number of different sources and does take trade-ins with the purchase of a vehicle. Before putting anything out for sale they have each car checked checked for mechanical or safety problems and have any needed repairs made. I've never had a mechanical problem with any of the vehicles I've bought there, and some of my purchases have been very high mileage cars. The sales process is a welcome relief from the loud flashy approach of most dealers. Bill Camden, the owner, never tries to push anything on a customer, or lead them to something that's out of the range of what they're seeking. And, if he doesn't have what a customer is looking for he'll tell them up front. I've bought five of my six cars from Camden's (the other was my brother's old company car) and I will keep doing so as long as they're in business. For a major purchase, reliability and helpful service are important, and that's what Camden's provides.”

The staff are very knowledgeable and personable, their advice is always solid.I’ve been to other euro specialty shops locally and in most cases, I will not return. I bought this car with the hope of it lasting 1-2 years, and so far so good.The total cost was around $5k with less than 120k miles. When I first went to check out the vehicle, Edwin offered to knock off $1000 bucks the online price, or to sell it to me at the listed price plus body work (no additional cost). I didn’t even have to ask for this deal. I believe this is because they already had bought parts to do body work. Even though I was lookin for a clunker, it now looks great, and my wife is happy, so I’m glad I went with the body work.They were cool about me dropping it off at Toyota for a pre-purchase check, which Toyota charged ~$150. My big question was, “Will this car break down tomorrow?” Got a resounding “no — looks great.”They did suggests a list of repairs, which was mostly Toyota trying to make money. The one big thing they suggested I do was replace the suspension, which they (Toyota) wanted to charge ~$2k. After getting wise counsel from my father, who has many decades of mechanic experience, I returned to Edwin and asked if they would do the repair for cheaper. We came to a deal where they would do the repairs for free if I paid for the parts, which was ~$300.Overall I’m very happy with their willingness to negotiate on this repair. They put everything in writing, including offering me a warranty on the suspension repair were something to happen. Very cool ?There is always an inherent risk when buying a used vehicle. Do your research ahead of time, look at maintenance record, check the “common problems” sites to see if that model-year has notorious transmission issues, etc. But as far as used car dealerships are concerned, these guys care about their reputation, and did their best to give me an honest deal.Also shout out to Louis for dropping off my drivers license to my house after I mistakenly left it there — super cool ?”

I've been here a couple of times now (twice to do a state inspection and a few times to get my vehicle fixed), and they have always been honest, friendly, efficient, and helpful. They do quality work and are always reasonable with their prices. Anthony has always been patient and walked me through everything during the times when I had to get my car fixed up. Marie is thorough with the run through/summary of things. Very friendly people! I highly recommend this place. Whether you need to get gas, do a state inspection, fix up your car, or buy a used car - they've got it all!”

The car is an absolute monster with great service records..Manny was the salesman to assist me and not only did he help get me approved for a pretty good rate, he was also very diligent with his work and communicated on a timely manner. The missing star would be do to minor flaws in the vehicle, like every no and then the driver and passenger side windows will do the opposite of what I am trying to do (weather it’s out them up or down) which would lead me to believe it’s a minor electrical issue. A very small chip in my windshield which isn’t really visible to the eye without closely observing. Also there were lights on my dash that were not cleared ( Inspection warnings ) which need to be cleared with a scanner, only reason I would give 4/5 stars. Other than what i disclosed, I couldn’t be any more please with Mannys service, thank you for all that you’ve done!”
