Who builds a house like this? This is a pic down into the gap between the two prefab halves of the house, yes the sheathing is noy complete and the only thing keeping weather out is yhe siding without any vappr barrier. For years we couldn't figure out how wild animals and cold just seeped into our kitchen and living room. Now we know, badly built home. How was this was allowed by the building inspector? I can point to dozens of building code violations GBI got a pass on, when they builtt my house. What kind of backroom deal did GBI have with the former building inspector for Douglas? Is this why Douglas fired him and went to court over it?

Man in a GBI truck tried to run my wife and 2 children off the road today. I can't imagine how this person interacts with customer or other human beings.

From start to finish every aspect of the project went perfectly. They handled everything including permitting from the town and surveying. I didn't have to do anything. I couldn't be more happy with the end result and the quality of work from everyone involved! They answered all my questions and addressed any concerns along the way. I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks to Charlie, Mike S, Jarrod, Leah and everyone who worked on the project!

Never again will I deal with GBI. It was a nightmare. The blond who works on their office is highly unprofessional and could barely hold a conversation without dozing off in her own lap. She slurred all her words and got progressively ruder and then when i called her out on it she responded by cursing and telling me her grandfather owns the business and to go elsewhere if i didn't like it. I own a business myself and was appalled that she was the first person i saw and talked to but chalked it up to her just being unprofessional and moved ahead anyways but that was just the beginning.... the crew was disorganized, their prices were high and after i decided to not go with them and go with another business a couple i know showed me some of the work they had GBI do adding a garage to their house and it was honestly shoddy. I would have been better off having my 10 year old nephew and his friends build my garage.

Great designs, plenty of usable information for a home buyer/builder.

I stick built my first house in 2005. (not thru GBI). It was a nightmare. Crews were walking off the job. The first GC I hired wouldn't answer any of my calls. I had to get another. The project went on forever. In the Spring i purchased a lot and decided to check out modular homes. I visited the models on rt 16. I met with Leah. She showed me many floor plans. I toured their models. I did some homework, reached out to other modular company's but came back to GBI. They took care of my entire project. I am living in my home in Natick and I would do it all over again.

2ish stars: 1 star for delays and poor communication, but 4 stars for end product (a stick-built garage with attic truss). This company is painfully slow and not great with communication. We didn't end up with a fast, modular build as expected, but we are fairly happy with the end result. If you plan to attach the building to your house, I would recommend contacting another company to stick build instead. GBI might be ok dropping a modular garage in your backyard, but risky if you want to attach the building to your house.

We began working with GBI in April 2018. We had everything planned by December 2018 and gave the 2000 deposit. We were told we would be in our new house by June of 2019. We worked with Leah. During the next few months, Leah ignored us when we asked when our plans would be ready so that we could start the permit process. We were told the plans weren’t finalized because another person in the company hadn’t seen them. We asked to speak with the owner several times and were again ignored. By May, the plans still weren’t finalized so we met with the owner Lou. He admitted that GBI had made mistakes and that moving forward there wouldn’t be mistakes and there would be better communication. We were promised we could still be in our house by the end of summer. When they went to apply for permits in June, they messed up and forgot to submit the correct paperwork. When we called the owner to complain, he suggested we should stop working them. We gave them another chance to fix the permits, but again they missed the time deadline. We decided to not work with them anymore in August. GBI is completely unprofessional and unorganized. They don’t communicate with their customers. I would tell anyone looking for a modular home to go with someone else.
