Dr. Kathy and team are excellent in caring for our two pups. They always try their best to get us in during emergencies. The team is incredibly knowledgeable and always so helpful.

Our cat was a patient of Dr Kathy’s for 15 years. This past weekend we could tell the end was near. We called to see if we could get in to be seen, not only was our phone call returned with a text but we were not able to be seen and was told the next available appointment was the following day at 11:30. I advised I didn’t think the cat would be alive by 11:30 the following morning. I wasn’t thrilled that we couldn’t get in given the circumstances and how long we had been going there but gave the benefit of the doubt that schedules get full. We took our cat to the new Animal ER in West Springfield who was fantastic! Highly recommend them. After being evaluated we decided it was time to put her down. The following morning I sent a text to VCA to let them know we had gone to West Springfield and what the outcome was. I NEVER received a text back or how about a phone call with condolences that our cat was gone!!!! My opinion they should have called me as soon as they opened to see how she did during the night. They had no issue taking my credit card for 15 years. They showed zero compassion. Will NEVER go there again.

They're extremely more expensive than any veterinary clinic in the area. When asked why they said they base their prices on the demographic trend and financial ranking of the zip code. Lol so because we live in a nice area a rabid shot and stool sample was $400.

So pleased with the way they treated my Pitbull. They were amazing even though it was her first time and she was nervous about them. I do not regret bringing both my dogs here. They're the best!

I love bringing my cat to VCA! The staff are always very friendly and attentive. The only thing that could make it better is if it was a little cheaper, but everything is expensive nowadays. Love you guys! Thank you from Kaya and I! ??⬛?

The wife and I had to put our eldest cat down today which was heartbreaking for us. Going in we were anticipating that it might be her time but we wanted to be certain. We've had negative experiences with vets in the past that simply focus on making the most money off of you regardless of the situation. I can tell you that we did not feel that even for a second today. The vet gave us her open and honest opinion on what would be best for our cat and we agreed and moved forward. They truly did an amazing job at making the process as easy as it could be and we appreciate then immensely.

New to the area and made my pups first appointment here. Waited for about 20-25 mins for my appointment which was ok. Then when we finally go get in the room the vet says you're new patients? I'm like yes just moved and they need to be seen blah blah. She then tells me well (very bruptly) well I don't know why they scheduled you because I'm not taking new patients. I'm like oh I didn't know. Went through the appointment anyway but for the amount of money I spent here I should of just walked out instead of being treated that way. I felt awful and she didn't want to care for my pup. Worst experiences of my life.

They are very friendly and take time to explain things. Pricey, but guess that's the norm. Would recommend.

Had a physical exam scheduled on 10/3/22. The veterinarian we saw was Kaitlyn Linnehan - who was quite lovely at the time of our visit. We determined my dog would benefit from an expanded blood panel.More specifically the tests she ordered were: Chem(24) CBC Thyroid Urinalys HW+Tick Dz test ($433.75), a Prepaid Fecal KeyScreen GI Parasite PCR Panel ($108.80).At 10:07 on 10/4/22, I received a text from Kristin saying “the lab made a mistake and we have to resubmit a blood sample for Bruno. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience. For your troubles we will refund 10% which is $43.38…”I called the office to clarify.. Kristin answered the phone and I asked, “Can I be refunded 20% of the cost of services because I will have to miss work to bring him back.” (20% of $898.61 = $179.72). The exchange was cordial and professional. Kristen said she would check with the veterinarian and call me back.At 10:44 am Dr. Katherine Dzulinsky called me back. I was immediately taken aback by her unprompted adversarial tone. She told me she was doing me a courtesy by offering the 10% refund on the cost of blood work and continued to say that in her 25 years of being a medical director, a specimen has only been lost twice but that “these things happen,” and I can’t “demand” a refund.I could barely get a word in edgewise and decided the best course of action was to discontinue all pending services for a refund. I asked her to cancel these services and I’d be interested “if I could get a refund instead?” She then went on to shame me about not following through on blood work for my 13 year old dog (she said 12 years old but that’s only because the VCA staff changed his birthdate on his medical records).I asked her to ask her staff to prepare my dog’s medical forms because I’d be going to another vet. I went to the VCA on Shaker Road to retrieve these medical records and follow up on the refund. The front desk staff informed me they couldn’t give me a refund at this time because “their system was down.”Dr. Katherine Dzulinksy was unprofessional, rude, and extremely unpleasant. I no longer feel comfortable trusting my animals in her care. I was spoken down to by her and worst of all my dog’s care was impacted by her facility’s mistake - one I would have helped to remediate if only Dr. Dzulinksy had remained cordial and reasonable.

They are excellent. However they are extremely expensive. Especially for shots and if you have pet insurance your pet insurance does not give you back what they charge for shots. For a fecal test they charged $84 where if I took my pet to petCo they would charge only $30 a big difference. And that would cover and will definitely get back from my pet insurance that amount.

The staff here are doing an amazing job trying to handle everything lately. I know they care so much, but with a labor shortage, apply shortage and everyone getting pets they're really doing the best they can. Just like the human healthcare system, they have been inundated with issues and have been trying to provide amazing and safe care. Keep up the good work!
