My family has been taking our cars to Impact Engineering for more than 30 years. It’s a family owned business–Al and Alex are great guys–knowledgeable, 100% trustworthy, and really excellent at service, repairs and diagnosing and fixing problems that the dealerships can’t or won’t. They never try to upsell you–they always lay out all the options and plenty of times, they’ve talked me out of expensive fixes–and do a great job. Hard workers, totally honest, and really efficient. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

Have been using Impact Engineering since the late ‘80’s. The guys have worked on all my cars, from a vintage VW Bug, to Jaguar, T-Bird, Mustang, Minivan, and now Mazda’s CX-5. My husband has them service his remodeling companies pickup and dump trucks, the heavy duty Sierra and Chevys. They really do it all! We have always felt like they’re #1 customers, yet other customers we refer tell us the same. Never over priced, never felt pushed to do more than what’s needed.The team of Al’s are hard working, passionate, professional, knowledgeable, and committed to their craft. It’s a pleasure to do business with a home grown company, with roots in the community from the 1980’s. They have pride in that and it shows in their work and work ethic. We won’t go anywhere else. Honest business. These guys know what they are doing. Don’t ever go to the dealership again. If you live near by I cannot recommend them highly enough. The best shop around.

Al at impact KNOWS cars. And he has always been happy to talk with me about mine when I asked. He enjoys talking with customers not only about cars but the whole car industry. And he not only fixes them, but has made the problems (and complex mechanics) easy to understand so I know why he is doing what he is doing. And he has been extremely helpful over the years in educating me about the many technical things that matter in fixing, maintaining and buying cars. Al at Impact fixed my car for a number of years before I moved. He always explained to me what needed to be done, why and what the cost would be. The work was done right and on time and at the cost quoted. When I needed to buy a car Al would tell me what manufacturers were best, what to look out for, and what strategies might work. He knew what might cause a smell in an air conditioner. Or why a car might vibrate on acceleration. He could give me an inside understanding of what went on in the dealerships, or in the manufacturing of cars. In one case he talked to me on the phone and explained about possible design flaws in certain models, and whether or not I should walk away from a particular new car purchase, or whether a used car was a good investment. Al and impact are a rare find of someone who knows their craft and is generous enough to share their technical expertise with others. Impact engineering was recommended to me years ago by a friend who lives in the same town. I'm glad they did. I too have found their work has been a huge help over the years.

I want express my appreciation to this company. It's rare to find people today that are dedicated to quality. You will find that here. I haven't had to worrying if the job will be done right since I started coming here. Brakes, transmissions, tires, tune-ups, or oil changes, it doesn't matter they do it all and for a reasonable price. I have the utmost confidence that the job will be done right and on time each time I make the call. The two Al's will explain what is needed in a professional manner and use only the best parts for your car. Give them a call. You won't be disappointed.

I have been going to Impact Engineering and using Al and his crew for over 20 years - driving over 40 minutes each way - every year - to have all of my own and my family’s cars repaired and serviced as needed. Al is hands the most honest person I’ve ever encountered in his profession and has a work ethic and quality to match. Same for his son Alex. Impact has NEVER oversold anything and has always exceeded expectations. You don’t stay in business 37 years like he’s been unless you’re totally honest, hard-working and stand by your work. Impact is the best around. Period.

Al keeps things honest, simple and straightforward. If you need something done, it gets done within reason or he lays out all your options on how to service your vehicle. This shop can do everything, and there's always some new eyebrow-raising infernal contraption in one of the lift bays when you go in (from heavy construction equipment to modded-out old classics and your average every Honda). If you're in the Walpole area, this place should be your first choice for service, even with the auto-mile just down the road.
