“Wayne's the real deal. And the antiques are the real deal - or he tells you immediately when they're not (i.e. high quality replicas). I can't tell you how many awesome pieces I have acquired from Wayne over the years. He really knows his stuff inside and out, he is NEVER over-priced, and I learn something fascinating about 18th, 19th or early 20th century craftsmanship every time I visit. Everything from 19th C. German-made grandfather clocks (that keep time to within a second a week!) , and antique toys, to glass and jewelry, and fine art and china to lanterns and tools.”

“This is a wonderful place to shop for a locally hand crafted gift or souvenir. I bought a silver bracelet made by the owner & jewelry maker, Molly. It is beautifully made and I am happy to be able to buy it from the maker herself. The ice cream place across the street is good too! This is in East Orleans so not in the main busy area. Definitely worth a visit to find a unique and special gift or souvenir.”

“My wife and I love picking out an original piece of artwork whenever we go on vacation and we came upon this place and are so glad we did! The amount of artwork and styles on display is great! We fell in love with Eileen Smith's artwork and purchased one of her paintings. Cindy who helped us was amazing and she was so kind and helpful! I would definitely recommend checking this place out as they price their artwork at a fair price.”

“My 21-year-old girl's fave store, my mum, she and I thought to go here, recently, so my daughter could buy a housewarming gift to her friends in the UK who recently moved to a historical, country home/locale. The things are as useful as they are eclectic, stunning collector decor AND 'discussion' items.”

“Cove gallery is the best. I have been visiting for years and the owners Liane and Larry are always so knowledgeable and helpful. The artists they represent all have beautiful work, but my favorite is the (late) Judith Shahn collection.”

“Kemp Pottery is a store you must go to when you are in the Orleans/Chatham area on the Cape. The pottery is beautiful and something you can actually use. Mr. Kemp is not only an artist but he is also an environmentalist. He is so knowledgeable about what is going on with native species and is just a joy to talk to. Kemp Pottery is a special place: please go there, you will be so glad you did.”

“I had such a wonderful experience stumbling upon Yak Arts during a trip with my parents on the cape. The owner has great eyes for paintings and holds a sizable modestly-priced collection, especially with local artists’ work. I didn’t expect that we’d walk out of there with three paintings and a necklace, felt so grateful that he gave me generous discount on them. Don’t miss the opportunity if you drive by Orleans. It is not just your average antique store!”

“I have visited Tree’s Place several times and it is always a wonderful experience. The art work is incredible! I love wandering through the rooms admiring and appreciating the many pieces. Recently I met the new owner and discussed the possibility of commissioning one of the artists to paint a special picture for me. He was right on it and my project is in the works. Thank you, Kevin.”

“Great selection of primitive antiques. My favorite store in the cape. Not cheap, but great stuff that will save you months of searching. Jimmy is welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun.”

“We loved looking at several artists' works here in the many rooms of this gallery. I'd love to come back when I have more time. Well worth driving off Rt. 6 for a bit to see the galleries in Wellfleet.”

“Very nice proprietor; he was very friendly and knowledgeable and even suggested that I bring my dogs inside, as they were waiting for me in the car. He gave them treats and had also offered to mind my fiesty one while I shopped!Offered within, is a nice selection of Made in America ceramics, posters, linens, jewelry and some food items. It was my first time within the shop after regularly vacationing on the Cape for many many years, and I was delighted to discover what will be a new "annual stop" in the future.Side note: The petty, negative comments a few have posted, were due to a controversial garment one shopper had chosen to wear into the shop, which could have been interpreted as offensive and polarizing to other customers. The proprietor had every right to insure that all of his customers have a pleasant shopping experience. Moral of the story? Don't be a "Karen".”
