My husband and I wanted a new Thanksgiving tradition this year and our 2 night stay at the Inn at the Oaks exceeded our expectations. There's a rich history here that we enjoyed learning about from Melody & Paul, the Innkeepers. They were very welcoming and we felt comfortable from the second we walked in. With yummy breakfasts (loved Paul's scones!) to get our days started and cozy fireplace time in the eve, we felt quite pampered. The common areas draw you in and invite you to relax. And our room (The Sunset Room) was a lovely little haven and beautifully appointed. We loved it so much that we booked for another visit in the summer! Looking forward to another stay!

Our recent stay at The Inn at the Oaks was simply wonderful. The four days and nights we spent were so peaceful, and Melody and Paul could not have been more welcoming and gracious hosts, from our lovely room, to the delicious breakfasts, to conversation and special moments around the antique player piano, to the evening fire in the living room’s grand fireplace. We were fortunate to spend days walking the Great Beach, beholding seals and whales, and dining in the evenings at splendid local restaurants to which Melody and Paul directed us. We have returned to The Inn at the Oaks over many years and through each of the four owners of the Inn in its modern history. Melody and Paul carry on the warm, understated grace we have always known at this historic inn with their own style of sincere, down-to-earth hospitality. Our stay was nothing short of magical, and we leave our highest recommendation to all.Rooms: Lovely, restful, quiet!Nearby activities: National Seashore, Visitor Center practically across the street, walking the Great Beach of Cape Cod!Food & drinks: The scones at breakfasts!Noteworthy details: Historic inn, super hosts, breakfast scones to die for!

From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed. Melody gave us a tour as soon as we arrived and explained everything there was to offer. I felt that this property had a great charm to it. Very well kept. We stayed in the separate area from the main house where it is pet friendly. Everything was clean And they were very attentive to our needs. The breakfast options were delicious. A lot of homemade and fresh choices. There’s even Fresh baked cookies and tea at 3 o’clock. They have grills on site if you would like to cook. Many areas to sit and relax in and outside. A library of books, fire pit and even horseshoes. We were able to borrow beach chairs and an umbrella to use. Great location right off of 6. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend it to anybody, and would stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Gluten free options available. We enjoyed our stay. The home is very interesting and comfortable. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy your stay. Dog friendly, but the dog area is separate from the main house, so the dogs wouldn’t bother non-dog people. I would love to stay here again.Food & drinks: Good breakfast with gluten free options.

Another amazing stay at Inn at the Oaks! Such a charming, and cozy setting, with all of the amenities. Great breakfast too! After a rainy day in P-Town, it was so nice to come back to the Inn and relax in front of the fire that Paul built for us. Thank you, again, Melody and Paul, for hosting the perfect fall weekend!

The Inn at the Oaks is truly a home away from home. Melody and Paul provide service, answers to questions, good humor and a healthy breakfast every time we visit. The rooms at the Inn are very clean, well appointed without being fussy; the amenities - breakfast, beach towels and chairs, etc. - are at the ready for an enjoyable stay. The easy walking/biking to the National Seashore visitor’s center is an added benefit. At the Inn you are only a couple of miles from either the Bay or Ocean beaches - the best of both worlds. We keep coming back to this very pleasant Inn. The place and the people are special.

I chose this inn because I wanted to awaken on a “special” birthday in special surroundings. I chose well. Our garden win was perfect. This historic inn was both interesting and aesthetically pleasing as well as comfortable. Our innkeepers and their staff were warm, friendly and fun. Breakfasts were delightfully delicious. The scones were the best I’ve ever had, and we had a large variety of fresh fruits. Our stay here fulfilled all my expectations of a memorable experience. Thank you, Melody and Paul.

Great experience! Easy check-in/checkout, lots of helpful staff, delicious breakfast, conveniently located, Nice atmosphere, lots of outdoor seating locations, Beach towels available, Coffee/tea available at all times. These folks really focus on all the little things that make us stay wonderful. Husband and I stayed in the Overlook room, next time we would choose a room that had a connecting bathroom since I’m a get up in the middle of the night kind of person! We will definitely be back and recommend this to our friends.

We recently got back from a trip to the Cape for our baby-moon and needed a place that was also dog friendly. I am so glad that we ended up staying at Inn at the Oaks. Melody and Paul make you feel so welcome from the first time you speak to them, and we left feeling like family. We stayed in the Beachcomer Suite which was well appointed and spacious. Breakfast is included here - and is so great. Paul makes delicious scones!Melody and Paul bought the Inn a few years ago and have spent countless time and money making upgrades - it really shows. The property is perfectly manicured, and you are never left wanting anything during your stay. The location is near coast guard beach and only about 10 minutes from Wellfleet and 30 minutes from Provincetown.I could not recommend staying here more.We are looking for our next trip soon!

We just spent the weekend at this wonderful place. The building itself is very beautiful, and the grounds are very nice. It must be even prettier in the summer. We stayed in the dog friendly building of the Inn. The room was extremely clean nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. For breakfast we had yogurt, fruit, breads, and cereal. There were even gluten free options available. The owners were incredibly nice, and very interesting and engaging people, and we really enjoyed our stay. There are plenty of good dining options very close by as well.Maybe a nightlight in the bathroom would be a nice touch so you don't have to turn on the bright light in thy middle of the night.Fantastic place and a fantastic stay.
