This shop has a new regular! Super friendly on the phone and when I dropped my car off. What I appreciate most: they listened, checked out my car thoroughly, and were completely honest about what was (and wasn’t) needed. I honestly braced myself to spend a ton of money, and it turns out I didn’t need anything at all. As someone who knows cars better than the average person, I still need a mechanic, and finding a shop that is genuinely trustworthy and honest is next to impossible (especially as a woman, IYKYK). Beyond happy with my experience and relieved to have a reliable mechanic!

I went to this shop as a new resident of the city when my car needed to be looked at. They have a smooth night-drop process, were friendly on the phone, transparent about the diagnostic, and even did small touches that went above-and-beyond. When I posted on Facebook in the local Facebook group about my positive experience, the thread was filled with positive reviews.

I have been a customer of ESP Auto for nine years. They are a family owned business that treats everyone well - customers as well as employees. During that time I have developed a deep trust in their integrity as well as their skill. ESP Auto is solidly my mechanic and I'm so glad they are there.
10/23/25 update: My trust in ESP Auto is so strong that if they tell me that I need a piece of work done. I don't have to double check that their recommendation is accurate.

They worked so well with me and went above and beyond. Drove me to work after dropping off the car. Mo was so pleasant to deal with, as was Tim. Great experience and excellent customer service.

We were in trouble, far from home and with 2 big dogs and got a flat. Found this place and they fit us right in and allowed our dogs to sit with us out of the heat. Great people, great place.

I was grateful to have my brakes looked at within a day of calling ESP since I was traveling later in the week. My regular shop, also in Easthampton, could not get me in for over a week when I called. My fault for not planning accordingly. I left the car for the day after explaining over the telephone that I believed it was time for new brakes. I said some squealing was occurring when backing out of the driveway. Nothing else. I got a call later in the day and was told I had 10-15K miles left and that I could come pick up my car. I was thankful for the honesty and spoke to my wife about how lucky we are to live in a town that has several good auto repair shops. I picked up the car and was handed an invoice for $119. It was 5 pm and the crew was getting ready to leave. I was shocked at being charged $119 to look at brakes and left without asking why I was being charged an absurd amount of money to determine if it was time for new brakes. I called the next day and asked for a call back from the owner who was unavailable. Dan kindly called back. I thanked him for seeing my car on a days notice and proceeded to explain my gripe. He asked why I did not ask the person who handed me the invoice about my concern. I explained that it was 5 pm and his employees were leaving for the day. We discussed whether he thought it was reasonable to charge $119 for checking brakes. He stated it was an hour of labor and that it “was more than reasonable.” I’m 53 years old and have had several vehicles over the 35 plus years since I’ve been on the road. NEVER, have I been charged more than a few dollars, maybe $40, when I didn’t need brakes. In fact, my regular mechanic didn’t charge me a dime when I jumped the gun on one of my kid’s vehicles. I even tried to leave some cash for a case of beer or some lunch for their time which was refused. I wasn’t looking for anything free from ESP. I had $1,000 ready to pay for brakes because I know they’re outrageously expensive. But I was charged $119, “an hour of labor” according to Dan for what we all know is 10 minutes of work. Oh, and I did ask Tim, the guy I paid $119, if the brakes had been replaced, would the $119 be applied to the job. Tim said “no” that it’s a diagnostic fee in addition to the work. Comon-Man!!!! I wasn’t born yesterday. For less than $119 I could’ve taken my SUV to the dealership, had a synthetic oil change with filter, multi-point inspection, tire rotation, and a report on the condition/how many mm’s I had left on each brake pad. But I prefer to spend locally. Which I will continue to do, just not at ESP. Shame on you!!

Excellent service! They didn't try to upsell me on anything, and they explained my options very clearly. It was a very simple process, and they seemed like they cared, which hasn't been the norm for me at other garages, nor (especially) the dealerships I've been to. Highly recommended.

I brought my 2011 VW Jetta to ESP Auto where I truly had a great experience. They replaced the rear drum brakes and also fixed the emergency brake. The brakes work very well now and they took great care of my car. I had an awesome experience from beginning to end, and will certainly recommend this shop to family and friends. Thank you, ESP!

i take my car here for basically everything i can. everyone is super friendly and knows their shit. i especially appreciate how when something is wrong they take the time to not just explain what they did and what could cause the issue in the future, but to answer my questions ('cause i really don't know much about how my car works but probably should).
and while not applicable to everyone, i love that they're walking distance from my house.

ESP is the best experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop! I've had to visit mechanics more than I'd like to admit in my life and came to dread any time I needed work done. Now when I have a problem, I never panic knowing I can bring my car to them. Somehow I always seem to drive away surprised that the team at ESP fix my car for the estimated price or even slightly less! I can't emphasize enough how understanding, flexible, and amazing ESP is.

We've been going to ESP for years and they're the best! They've taken care of about 8 cars for us. Clear communication, fair prices, good advice and they tell the truth. They even have a loaner car if you plan far enough in advance, or will give you a ride home. Reliable and helpful, awesome people

It’s rare that I feel like going out of my way to express how nice a place like this is to work with. They’re literally so nice, reasonable, and straightforward, I won’t be going any place else. They offered me a ride when the car I needed wasn’t ready yet. Nobody has ever been this nice to me before ? <3
