I have been going to the Lift salon for many years. It is an inviting space filled with talented stylists. When you walk in, you’re always warmly greeted and offered a beverage. Christel is my stylist, my therapist, and has turned into a dear friend. For someone who doesn’t take time to slow down and focus on self care, my hair appts at the Lift are everything. I always walk out feeling beautiful and rejuvenated. I highly recommend you check out the Lift for your hair needs!

I’ve been a loyal Lift client for many years and have only ever had exceptional service! Christél has seen me and my hair from parenting young children, to special events, career changes and menopause, and at every life stage she has made me feel pampered and polished. The vibe in the salon is always just right and you feel welcomed and relaxed from the moment you walk in. I look forward to my luxurious shampoo in the massage chair (magic hands!) and the easy conversations. Whether I’m just getting a trim or a completely new look I’m always thrilled with the results. The length, amount of curl, thickness and texture of my hair have changed over the years but the recommendations and products choices are always on point.
My daughter also loves getting her haircut by Sam, who was fully booked the week before prom but stayed late one evening to fit her in. This is one of many examples of the kind of business The Lift is. Can’t recommend enough!

I have been going to The Lift for years. The salon atmosphere is always bright, spacious, clean, and energetic. I’m always greeted kindly and offered a drink or to hang my coat. The chairs are comfortable for long services like I do that can take a few hours. And the sinks offer a spa-like treatment with chairs that lift and recline.
I’ve always gone to Christel, who has been my lifeline for all things hair care. She’s always ready for any idea or color I bring her way (blonde, brunette, auburn, rose gold, strawberry blonde, pink, cherry cola red, bright red, hot pink, light pink, yellow, purple, silver, platinum, and white) and styling (long/short layers, shaggy bangs, face framing, and more). And like a true professional she’s also guided me in the right direction if my initial idea would have potentially caused damage or require long term maintenance. As someone with PCOS, with symptoms like hair loss, the health of my hair is very important to me. And over the years Christel and The Lift have recommended high quality products for my needs to maintain healthy hair. With everything I’ve done to my hair, it has remained healthy because of their expertise. My sister and I also went there for her wedding and everything was beautiful. I highly recommend!

I had such an amazing experience at this salon! I came in with thick, curly hair and a few concerns about getting the right color and cut — and I left absolutely thrilled with the results. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness and professionalism.
My stylist truly listened to what I wanted and took the time to understand my hair texture and goals. They made thoughtful suggestions, and the final look turned out better than I imagined. The color is vibrant and flattering, and the cut brought out the natural shape of my curls beautifully — it’s so easy to style now!
It’s not always easy to find a salon that understands curly hair, but I felt completely at ease here. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and made me feel pampered throughout the whole visit.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for expert care and great results. I’ll definitely be back!

Heartbroken Bride – A Cautionary Tale for Anyone with Textured Hair
On October 4, 2024, I had my hair done at The Lift Salon by Justin, a stylist I had previously trusted. As a South Asian woman with thick, coarse hair, I made it very clear that this appointment was for my wedding day. What should’ve been a joyful, exciting experience turned into a months-long nightmare — one I’m still dealing with in June 2025.
The salon is very much a white-centered space, and while that shouldn’t matter, it clearly did. Just because I have thick hair does not mean it’s okay to bleach it to the lightest color possible without any real conversation about the risks involved. As a stylist, it is your responsibility to inform your client of potential damage — especially when working with textured or ethnic hair. Had I known my hair would end up gummy, stringy, and permanently compromised, I would’ve never agreed to this.
I even voiced concern during the appointment when I noticed the gummy texture. Justin brushed it off and told me it would feel like that for “just two days.” I trusted him — big mistake. After the first wash, my hair was a sticky, breaking mess. It was completely ruined. Since then, I’ve spent months trying to repair it, and I’m still not even close.
When I reached out to the owner, Cristol, hoping for accountability and understanding, I was met with nothing but ego, gaslighting, and attitude. Her exact words were: “But you loved your hair and walked out with a smile.” I told her: “I didn’t even realize how damaged it was at the time — check your cameras, I was trying to bring it up to Justin during the service.”
Instead of listening, she cut me off and said, “I will not have you come back into the salon. I’ll just refund you. You can go to my friend, Carve Beauty, to get your treatments done.” I was in tears. I had just paid $600 for a service that destroyed my hair and left me completely heartbroken — and she had the audacity to ban me?
As if I’d ever want to go back. You couldn’t even pay me to return.
Update – End of June 2025
This photo shows the current condition of my hair — still gummy, breaking, and fragile despite everything I’ve done to try and fix it.
Funny enough, I didn’t find Carve Beauty on my own. Cristol — in the middle of kicking me out of her salon — actually recommended I go there. The irony? Carve turned out to be everything The Lift is not.
At Carve, Tina, one of the owners, was professional, kind, and truly empathetic. When I told her what had happened, she was genuinely appalled. I ended up doing around six intensive treatments at Carve and purchased their molecular repair treatment to continue care at home. And still, after all that, I’m left with long-term damage.
If you want a salon that will actually listen, respect you, and treat your hair with real care and knowledge, I cannot recommend Carve Beauty enough. Go to Tina for anything major or corrective — she’s amazing. And for regular styling, ask for Abby — she’s just as talented and sweet.
Skip the arrogance. Skip the gaslighting. Skip the damage.
Go where your hair and your voice are respected — go to Carve.

The lift is so much more than just a hair salon; I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment you step through those doors everyone makes you feel so welcomed. I’ve had my hair done by Brielle and Christel on a regular basis and their knowledge is superior. You can tell they take great pride in their work. My favorite part- the out of this world head massage coupled with the massage chairs!

I needed a little bit of a change so I switched up hairdressers after people kept telling me to check out the Lift. Finally decided to just go for it & I am in awe. I was red/copper & Roxanne lifted me to the most beautiful blonde. I was okay with being a golden blonde because of the red but she & her co workers made some magic & I left feeling so confident & beautiful. I love that her team stepped in to help out with the process because though my hair is thin, there’s a lot of it 😅 Everyone was so excited to see the results & they were hyping me up & I just really neeeded that after the week I had. I will recommend this place to anyone who will listen. Thank you Roxanne & to everyone at The Lift!!!! What an amazing experience & I am excited to continue my hair journey here 😀

Jon is absolutely incredible. Super gifted. Spent a while researching balayage and blonding stylists in the area- came across his galleries and creations at the Lift and knew he was going to be the one turn my hair into a thing of beauty. And he sure did. I can’t rave enough about him. This was the first time leaving a salon truly happy and satisfied with the end product.

Sam Bruno always does the most fantastic job on my hair. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a more experienced hair stylist. I always leave her looking like a movie star. Which is a lot to say because it took me years and years to find someone who could style my unruly hair. Thank you so much Sam! I really appreciate you and all your work!

I was visiting town and was able to quickly schedule haircut with Roxanne who was wonderful and did nice work! The salon was lovely. The hair washing chairs were so comfortable! And I got two small cookies with my bubbly water! All around wonderful experience!
