Super friendly staff and a large facility with lots of stuff to check out. Their ropes are some of the best set in Boston in my experience and although their bouldering area is a bit smaller they do a good job keeping climbs rotating and interesting. Also have to add the vibes are best in Boston - very inclusive and chill

Nice gym, friendly vibes and free liquid chalk, holds are a bit slippery but climbs are well set

Came for the climbs, stayed because my arms stopped working, and I couldn’t leave. MetroRock is the perfect mix of pain, and joy—routes are challenging in the best way, and staff members are friendly. 10/10 would fall off the wall again.

Really didn’t like how slick the walls were in the bouldering section. My shoes had 0 grip

The route setting here is great! Challenging climbs at every level with cool wall features and really thoughtful route settings that push you to problem solve different climbing techniques. Love the old school vibe of the place with lots of community. Reminds me of the old school gyms. I prefer the community aspect of climbing. Love the more technical climbs for people who love climbing.

I took my nephews there for their birthdays. We all had a great time. We had a private belay with Avery and she was so encouraging and knowledgeable we enjoyed every minute of our experience

A glorious gym. Arguably the best routesetting of the Boston metro gyms. Unpretentious and welcoming. Walls have complex angles and edges for a diverse climbing experience. Big bouldering area with new problems most weeks. Regular yoga, lgbtq, and ladies nights. Gender neutral restroom available. Slackline. Ropes course. Kids area. Padded floor can be tricky in spots for wheelchair users without help, and there is a small overhung training area only accessible by stairs. Limited food options on site at the small, gear focused, equipment and merch shop. Outdoor bike parking, bike pump. Blue Bikes rental station 7 minute walk away at small riverside park north of gym, consider biking to there instead of walking the mile from Wellington or scheduling the shuttle. Car parking plentiful, though there’s active truck traffic. Dogs sometimes. I’m a member, quite a good value if you can get there 2-3 times a week.

Climber coming from out of town. Rad old school gym vibes. Setting is very outdoorsy and static which I enjoyed. Awesome staff members too.
Do be warned there are no rental chalk bags. Staff member was super awesome to let me borrow his bag because I didn’t fly with my chalk.

Staff were so helpful, kind, and caring. This was my first time climbing and I had a blast! They have a shuttle to the metro, as well as a weight room! The vibe that they create is one of one.
