I'm very grateful for JR's Auto Shop for helping me whenever I have car trouble. Bruce is an absolute down-to-earth honest and friendly person who has always been there for me when I've had an issue with my car. I would highly recommend his service to anyone in need of servicing their vehicle.

Been here about 4x. The first time was great second time good 3rd ok 4th time meh. Seems to be getting worse with each experience while spending more money with each experience. Biggest issue is it’s always 1 price quotes then when it comes time to pay it’s always way more and excuses for why. Last experience was upsetting. Got breaks done and when I pick it up I’m told something wrong with my control arm which is odd since I just got my car fully inspected for sticker a week prior and there was zero issues. Ever since e breaks got done my steering wheel shakes a ton and ride is rough. Idk what happen to be car while getting break pads. Now today it’s clunking loud. I think it was broken during my break pad repair somehow and i wasn’t told so now I gotta take somewhere to have it fixed. I always had it at 4 stars but had to downgrade.

I've lived in a lot of places across MA and now CO, and the one thing I wish I could take with me during all my moves is this mechanic from my hometown.
Never had a bad experience for the 6 years he was my mechanic (and it took moving across the country to get me to stop coming here). And with a '95 Prizm and an '03 Acura TL-S, believe me, I was there. A. LOT. Never had an issue with prices, part availability, or asking questions. This staff knows their stuff and is extremely helpful!
I know experiences vary from person to person, but you can't deny Chuck's honesty and ethic. Incredibly straight shooter. He could've milked me for years with my Prizm where the bottom was 2% steel, 98% rust, and 100% problems, but instead he went the extra mile to help me understand that I needed to plan for a new car and walked my 18-year old brain through the reasons why. He was my mechanic for years when I was a broke high schooler and college kid. I even made sure that, whenever something went wrong with my car at college in Amherst that I'd setup an appointment here and drive 2 hours to have him check it out. Chuck was even cool with dropping off/picking up the car after hours.
Take my advice: honest mechanics are hard to find. Just come here and stop worrying about it.

My car had intermittent problem starting ? Starter vs Battery. My car sat for 3 weeks and charged $50 for supposed cleaning terminals. The same problem occurred after during the car home. I figured out it was a dead battery in the key! A simple fix missed by mechanic.Disappointed.

Accurate diagnosis, speedy work, fair prices, friendly and respectful people. Wouldn't do business anywhere else and have been there 10+ years.

Brakes done?1st of all he was honest snd said he forgot to do the left brake . Had to bring it back . Ok fine we all make mistakes .Took a road trip 4,000 miles after the brake job .The left brake seized . I had to get it repaired in Virginia and they charged me 3 x the amount but I obviously had no choice .So all these great reviews ughh I’ll never go back there

Been here a few times and I will def be back soon. I haven't had any issue so far with the work that has been done on my vehicles. The Mechanic/Owner seems like a really good dude. After a few more repairs I can see me changing to 5 stars if all continues to go well.

They're honest when it comes to what actually needs to be done and won't try to feed you false problems. I came here for a second opinion after another shop told me the work I needed would be around 2k. J R's told me it was roughly half that. Going here will save you money and will leave you feeling satisfied. Trust me, its a great place.
