I have bought a boat (53' Sportfish) and sold a boat (28' Chris Craft Launch) using the services of Kyle and Capstan Yachts. I was compelled to write this review after seeing the poor review. More recently, I told him I was in the market for a 26'-28' Dual Console. Within a week, I was under contract and happy to be signing on a Pursuit 265 DC.I can personally attest to Kyle's professionalism and knowledge of boats and the purchase & sales process. One example: he had to actually educate a surveyor regarding a Halon system and the proper wiring of a battery. Another example: I entertained a purchase of a boat in Florida and he was willing to facilitate a captain to bring it north because my schedule would not afford me the time to do so myself. In the end, he listens to your wants and needs and does not waste time. I have bought and sold 9 different boats with many brokers over 30 years. He is among one of the best I've worked with. I strongly recommend Kyle and the Capstan team if you are buying or selling.

Capstan yachts.... should rename the brokerage firm "CAP SCAM YACHTS"I delt with Kyle on a deal for a 410 sundancer. Advertised at a 2001. Boat ended up being a 2000. Under contract, we made a deal at an agreed price. I went to look at the boat initially (a 4 hour drive each way) batteries were dead and we couldn't get into the bilge to look. That was the first red flag...The boat presented decent for a 20 year old vessel so I decided to leave a deposit and go foward after I was sent detailed pictures of the bilge. It was also advertised that the boat would have a 1000hr service performed, rebuilt transmissions.New canvas and detailed for the season. I went ahead an planned a survey and had milton caterpillar come down.I asked for pictures of the aftercoolers broken down for reference. Kyle never produced those... the 1000hr service really wasn't done.... the canvas upon arrival was decrepit. Motor mounts prove one transmission was never touched. Complely sugar-coated to lure in a buyer. They replaced 3 front panels of eisin glass with what might as well been saran wrap. The amount of lies and misinterpretation has given me no choice but to put this out there to protect other buyers from dealing with this HACK. He is a pathetic liar and would not even take his sunglasses off to look me in the eye.In the mist of this... I had sold my boat, had to void the contract so I wouldn't be boatless for the summer. As for the 3k spend on survey, travel, time off work and to reimburse the buyer on my old boat for their survey as well. I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE TO STAY AWAY FROM CAPSTAN YACHTS. HE A SCAMMER BAIT AND SWITCH.Even the surveyors couldn't believe how far Kyle lied to make sale of this boat.
