These guys are the best. When they came to my house, The lead movers guy Greg, not only packed up my stuff with ease, everything made it to the other end! Then, he made some witty comments at lynch which made us all laugh until our bellies hurt. Then, I saw him help an old lady across the street before he left.Salt of the earth that guy.....salt of the earth!Great job Fitton.

Called about a storage unit and said I would be there later in the day. Got there and there was a sign saying be back at 3:30. Waited an extra half hour/until 4pm still no one showed. Went in next morning to rent a unit and was told that they only had had one available and was now gone.

Worst moving experience of my military career. I'm shocked they're still getting military contracts with how little they care about the military or customer service in general. The movers themselves were decent and hardworking, but THE OWNER DAVID HAS ISSUES (he also owns Fitton Moving & Storage). The movers were about 2/3 of the way through delivering our household goods (so it was mid-day) when David called the leader of the moving crew and demanded to talk to me, which was really strange. He then berated me for forcing his crew to "take forever" unpacking our household goods because it was "costing him a fortune," which...1) SUPER unprofessional to complain to your client that doing your job is taking too long; 2) the crew was delayed because half the crew was brand new and it was taking them forever to unload everything and put our major furniture pieces back together because they didn't know how; 3) unpacking is part of their contract! In the end they destroyed some floor lights, a dining room chair, and put a big dent in our clothes dryer, as well as putting some of the furniture together wrong. In the end I would have brushed this all off as not worth complaining about, but the kicker was that when the crew finally left, they said they would come by at a later date to pick up our mountain of cardboard packing boxes for recycling because they come to the Cape area in MA "all the time." However, good-old David then later said they don't do that. When I told him that's not what his crew said, he replied he'd schedule something. And then I never heard from him again. I kept calling Benson storage and getting the run-around from his employees until I finally gave up and dragged the literally hundreds of boxes to the recycling center using a U-Haul truck. That's how much Benson Street Storage Center and Fitton Moving & Storage - aka David - care about the military. PLEASE stop giving this guy military contracts!!!

Incredible that the government still has a contract with this company. The worst customer service I have experienced in my 32 years of life. I contacted David over the two months prior to pick up to ensure we were on the same page with address of the disaster restoration company and the adjusted approximate weight after our house fire. He seemed like he had it together. He was allotted three days for pick up. On the first day he cancelled and I was fine with that. The second day came and he cancelled again. Then the morning of the third day David awoke me (since I moved to the west coast) with a phone call accusing me of telling him that we only had a desk, futon, and bench, when I clearly stated to him that we still had about 6000 to 8000lbs of goods that were restored and we discussed the larger items. David also insulted our disaster relief agent who had never met while on this phone call. Then when I responded to him how incompetent he was he cowered down and said he didn't deserve to be spoken to in that way. Needless to say he showed up on the last day with a truck that wouldn't even fit a quarter of our stuff. So our disaster relief agent had to meet this awful company a second time the following Monday effectively costing him four days in the end of it all. Then we explained to David that we have a newborn and where looking for a ship date to the destination he had the audacity to tell my wife that our baby is not his problem. Which may be fact but just another example of the type of customer service you receive from the OWNER! We are receiving our house hold goods today, two months later and we expect to see lots of damaged goods. Hopefully we are wrong. God awful company and service!!!!!

Arrogance and poor customer service made this the worst moving experience of my military career. Lack of communication, last minute cancellations, poor time management and broken property are clearly what you can expect from these people. I've already filed legal action with them.
