Took my genesis for a software update. It failed to update automatically and prompted me to call. I did and was told to go to a dealership for service. Also, my start climate option on my app stopped working. (Along with another issue that was addressed by this update)
Dropped it off for an 11am appointment on Tuesday. Luckily they put me in a rental. After i got home, my service agent reached out to inform me that it wouldn't be ready that day. Next day i sent 3 texts to the number they provided and called 4 times.. got through once and was told a technician would contact me by days end... no one did. On Thursday, i texted early to give concerns and i got a call from my rep at 11am informing me that they will contact me later. At this point I insisted on a specific time. She stated they she would reach out, or update, by 1pm. She didn't. At 1:15ish, I texted informing that i was coming to pick up my vehicle regardless of diagnosis status. Met with the manager once there and was told the update ended up going through automatically even before they had a chance to do it, and nothing else was done or diagnosed. The 1 star review reflects the complete lack of communication, no regard for customers time, plans or inconvenience, and most importantly, I'm personally stuck on the fact that they had my car for 3 days and actuality did nothing.

Brian Farrel is a great sales associate..He literally walked me thru and test drove the Genesis explaining it's uniqueness..My phone calls were answered immediately and helped me do most of application process by phone and email ..Just a great exp

Back in 5/31/2024 I Brought my week old new to me car in for service. I took a detailed 4k video before I dropped off my vehicle like I always done. After performing oil service, They returned my car with a deep scratch on my left quarter panel. I immediately noticed and showed to service advisors and managers. They all acknowledged and admitted the mistake. At first they tried to “buff it out” but I refused to have them touch my car any further. They told me to bring to my body shop of choice to fix it and they will compensate. I went to my body shop and got a quote. I returned to this two desk “Genesis dealership” in the middle of service area. I showed the managers the quote to fix my scratches caused by them. They immediately refused and said cost too much. I walked out of that place disappointed. This is why I stay away from Dealerships. Today proved my case and makes me want to steer clear of dealerships to bring my car in for service. I have no problem paying for services but returning my vehicle with scratches that I did not do is not ok. They treat Genesis vehicles like a cheap beater Hyundai. These Genesis in my opinion perhaps but are high end and shows that they do not respect the cars they equipped. First impressions are everything, They need their techs to follow standard operating procedures and use fender covers during service to prevent scratching up any car. Clearly this did not happen. This is why you should always protect yourself from any time you drop your car off for service and record and document everything as I did. This is such a disappointment because I like the car but hate the crappy service these cars get. I love the genesis line and I feel they definitely deserve more quality handling.

-Escalated to me reaching out to Genesis Consumer Affairs. Consumer affairs no assistance or no help.
-Escalated to me reaching out to Attorney General Office, and advised and said I have a case to sue. Now proceeding to small claims to sue.

Do not go here for Genesis service. We were quoted $180 to replace four spark plugs. When we questioned why it was so high, we were told that it was due to the amount of labor required to access them. When we picked up the car, the charge was actually over $500, including $268 for the plugs alone. They then denied that they had ever told us that it would be $180.

My most recent visit to Genesis of Framingham was deplorable - it was so bad that I had to enlist the help of Genesis Corporate. The service manager who I will not mention by name should be terminated - he does NOT represent the dealership or Genesis very well. I was very clear and concise about the services that I needed to be provided. The service manager did NOT provide any updates nor did he provide a reasonable time frame as to when I could expect my vehicle back - I also had to enlist the help of corporate to get a loaner provided to me while my vehicle was being serviced. I was NEVER treated like this under the flagship service of the Connelly family.
I was planning on upgrading to a GV80 and my fiancée was also considering a Genesis vehicle - we will NOT be shopping at Genesis of Framingham due to the lack of professionalism of their service manager. My complete report will be emailed to the corporate team of Genesis with the hopes of them helping retrain the service manager of Genesis of Framingham. Ownership ought to be ashamed of the poor performance of this individual and it will most likely cost you two new purchases in the very near future. Look at your turnover rate within your service department - it should tell you something.

Went there for a recall to replace a low pressure fuel pump on my GV80. Set up the appointment online and went there 10 am on July 17th. Lucas Barbosa, took the information and told me it will be done before 6pm. I received a call about 1.5 hrs later, and they told me they don't have the part or the part was defective. I was so upset.....After letting Lucas know how upset was, Lucas did everything in his power to get the part and finished the job on the same day. I could not be any happier with the service Lucas Barbosa provided. He's the MAN.

The sales experience at the Framingham dealership was very poor for the following reasons (I bought a GV70 from a different Genesis dealership):
1. I had to seek out a sales person when I entered the dealership despite a number of representatives looking at me from their desks.
2. While I sat with the sales person, multiple other representatives were standing right behind us talking loudly about football games.
3. The representative tried to close me at least 15 times while we spoke at his desk and test-drove the car despite me asking him to stop closing me so aggressively. While I appreciate the need to win sales, this was way over the top.
In the end, I purchased a GV70 from a different dealership, was very happy with the buying experience, and really like the car.

Service was terrible - valet was late in retrieving car, so warranty work was not performed as schedule and I had to call repeatedly to learn if work was performed and when car would be returned to me (which occurred two days later than originally committed). I will be looking for another Genesis dealer to service my car in the future.
