I have been a member since the facility since it was in Allston. Never had any issues with staff or the facility. My only complaint is that Framingham is so far away.

I don't even know how to clearly define how Rude and off the charts weird my experience was with International Wine Vault. But, I'll attempt to describe it anyway. I was trying to help a friend ship his whisky to an auction house in the UK. I had previously helped him with this last year with IWV and everything went well. This time... Holy sh-t??!?. The auction house in the UK sends us an email stating that they have the ok with IWV to ship... we contact IWV to simply confirm their ok before shipping, as they make it very clear they will send the boxes back if you don't arrange in advance. An employee from IWV answers the phone in the most aggressive and obnoxious way, very curt, very short and says we are not going to talk to you, ....such and such auction house is our customer, you have to arrange it through them.. I could not even get a word out to try to tell the IDIOT that we had received an email from the auction house stating that they had IWV's ok .. instead he further barks that if it is ok Paul will call and if it isn't ok Paul won't call.. to be honest I thought Uhm.. wow.. f-ck you! and f-ck Paul with your sh-tty as- attitudes...but I remained calm which is hard for me if you're a d-ck for no reason. Needless to say, I never got a call back from Paul...but having received the ok from the auction house, I keep trying to finalize this and simply get Paul's confirmed ok, before I ship. I send an internal message through their website, no answer. I send an email directly to Paul and three days later my friend gets a response from him.. the response is. do not contact us again, we will not be shipping anything for you, if you do contact us again, it is harrassment, etc, etc. All because we simply tried to get Paul to re confirm that it was ok to ship these boxes to him as the auction house had ok'd it. My friend read me the email they had sent and it made me really angry. This was just soooo unnecessary, so unprofessional, so weird, strange is almost an understatement. Hey Paul and Phil, it doesn't take much, not much at all, to simply be human. I have nothing kind or adult to say about either of you at this point. As-sholes!

I submitted a form through their website inquiring about storing part of my beer cellar. They responded quickly, but were SUPER sketchy about what size locker I would need. I told them I had about 8 cases, packed in cardboard wine boxes (13" x 12" x 9") and they recommended either a 16 or 20 case locker, based on a "wooden Bordeaux box." I was having trouble understanding why tightly packed cardboard boxes would take up double the space of a Bordeaux box (which are significantly LARGER than my boxes at 19.5" x 13" x 7") and they couldn't really give me a straight answer, they just kept saying that they've been in the business for 20 years. Cool, I guess. Their prices are reasonable and it looks like they have a nice facility, but based on initial customer service I'm not trusting them with a collection that I've spent a lot of time, effort and money building.

Awesome facilities and service. I have had my wine stored here since 2011. Never had a problem. Staff has always been responsive to changing needs and have handled storage and deliveries professionally.

Two stars for the location and the facilities, but I would give negative stars for everything else. We contacted them to store 10-12 cases of wine and we got very quick response that wine storage was available and we made an appointment at the Framingham facility to meet with Paul. When we went to drop off the wine we were told no storage was available for 12 cases, neither for 20 or 24 cases which is advertised, but we could rent a 30 case locker for more than double the price than for the 12 cases we actually needed. We looked at the locker and since we had the wine in the car and it is a 40 minute drive decided to rent the locker anyways. We put the 12 cases in the locker and estimated that max. 6-8 more cases could fit into the space, nowhere near the 30 cases that we were told. Nevertheless, we left the wine there. Once we were back home it still felt like we got pushed into the bigger locker and did some research on the measurements of wine boxes on the market and how many of those would fit into the wine storage space we rented. Needless to say to fit 30 cases is impossible... We wrote an e-mail to the International Wine Vault to highlight that the 30 cases wine storage space they rent will not fit 30 cases and provided the calculations for different sized wine boxes. In response we got an e-mail from Steve, that we can pick up our wine either Thursday or Saturday, basically kicking us out of the space. So we went to pick up the wine on Saturday and were observed by Steve in his car outside the facility watching us while Paul greeted us and told us we can NOT enter the facility, despite the fact we pre-paid for 6 months rent. He told us the money had been refunded already to our credit card so we are not allowed in the facility and he will get our wine if we give him the key. Obviously, even five days later the money for the rent is still not refunded by IWV. We got our wine and loaded it into our car. We found another wine storage at a life storage facility which is much cheaper, no drama, accurate specification of the dimension, and closer. Our experience with IWV was extremely bad and we hope that the wine was not tempered with. I would recommend to stay away form IWV the team is very un-professional to say the least.

Paul and his team do a fantastic job of taking care of his customers. The facility is first rate and very professional. Paul recently helped me ship wine to auction. He handled all logistics professionally. The fact that the wine was stored professionally at International Wine Vault helped assure that the value of the wine was maintained for auction.
