“Pretty good place. I like that you can wash rubber-backed rugs which a lot of laundromats don't allow. They have a variety of sizes of washers at reasonable prices. One washer's detergent cups were completely full of water when I pulled out the tray to fill it, so I used a different washer. I like that you can use a credit card directly at the machine or you can use coins. You don't have to purchase a special card.
I was shocked when I saw that the dryers only give you 2 minutes for 25 cents. Wow. But I have to say, they are powerful dryers. I put in a single washer's worth of laundry - all rugs - and only put in a dollar. I figured I could dry them the rest of the way at home. To my surprise, after 8 minutes, they were practically dry. Ditto for another washer load which was towels and a comforter.
So, I think the washer price plus dryer price equals other laundromats I have used even though the dryers seem expensive. I'm sure you will NOT get this result if you cram the dryer full of several loads of laundry as I have seen ppl do. But if you load moderately, I think $1 to $1.50 will completely dry your load. A very large washer was $8.50. $10 wash and dry is about par these days.
One thing I DIDN'T like is there is no option for an extra rinse, which I normally always do. So if I were washing actual clothes, this wouldn't work for me because of skin sensitivity. But rugs, comforters, etc., no problem, I will come here again. Also, it wasn’t the cleanest place I’ve ever seen but not the worst either. Tolerable.”
“I used the Prowash on Sunday, 8/15 and would like to express my experience by saying that if wasn't for the very nice blond woman that works there, I would never come back. She was very friendly and assisted me from beginning to end. Most of their machines are not working and they don't hang signs about it. First of all, they should fix their machines period. But like I said, I only gave 4 stars because of this very nice lady. Don't know her name but she only works on Sundays. Prowash should value their employees and fix their machines. The employees are the first line and they are the ones hearing all the complaints. That's just not fair to them.”
