Notice how they turned off their reviews on facebook? I am not surprised. They had my 1-star google review deleted. I now see that many people recently gave them 1-star reviews here on yelp. Dean Bank should be shut down. The employees are completely incompetent and have no idea what they are doing. I would not recommend Dean bank under any circumstance, whatsoever.

Dean Bank is a small town bank and it shows. I had never used the online deposit tool where you take a picture of your check and it is deposited into your account. It was drawn on a Dean account and being deposited into a Dean account. Available immediately? Not quite . I called the bank to see why it hadn't been deposited yet and even though it was a Dean to Dean transaction it would take two business days. I said that was ridiculous and they should have specified that. I was trying to not go to the bank and hence I tried the online deposit. I called the bank and was told they would cancel the online deposit and my account would be available immediately. Guess what? It was not done after they said it was. So my $1,200 deposit was in limbo. Called saturday after the fiasco Friday. I was told they couldn't do it. Of course the only two departments, corporate and operations didn't work Saturday and they were the only ones that could fix it. Wouldn't it make sense to have at least one person that could handle customer issues work Saturday, There only solution was to get another check, deposit it into my account and they would fix it on Monday. Will they. The person who wrote the check to me twice said it better not withdraw the $1,200 twice because his rent check was outstanding and if it was an issue that the money would not be there. Mr Sutton is a good customer and said this is ridiculous that he had to write that 2nd check. There are 3 accounts with this bank that the bank might lose if this matter is not taken care of. i hope things are taken care of properly. if you're looking for a new bank, I would look elsewhere.

Though I moved out of the area. I am still a long time existing customer with both business and personal accounts. The professionalism of the staff is made up of the best in the banking industry. I will continue to use Dean Bank going forward. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Covid has made drive up service the only way to do regular bank transactions. The tellers offer no customer service or assistance. When there is a long line of cars and you don't have a bank slip, the teller will not assist you to fill out the form and make a deposit. Even when you provide all the information. They play d*** and tell you now I the completed form after you have filled it out. Wish they would provide true customer service rather than being unhelpful to their customers. Guess Dean Bank doesn't care about their customers during these difficult times. Sad to see. Been a customer for over 18 years.

We used Dean bank for a residential mortgage. First we spoke with the broker Tina who was very polite and answered all the questions she could. I asked some follow up questions via email, in which she requested with other information. She failed to tell us that she would be leaving that evening for a 4-day weekend and left no colleague to contact in her place. We should have known by this first poor experience that it would not be a good match and selected another bank. But we proceed. We had an accepted offer on a house. Dean Bank's security and transfer of information is incredibly antiquated and leaves you open to breach of information. If you value your privacy, you'd have to do everything in person on paper. Slow and antiquated is how I would describe each and every exchange. I had to be on their backs, almost daily, asking if certain things were done and if they needed any additional information. They made us miss our mortgage commitment and almost lost the entire deal because they didn't know they hadn't received the appraisal. The same appraisal I had asked about approximately 7 times prior to mortgage commitment. Day of closing was fine. Mortgage statements looks like they are fresh off the typewriter, with very little information other than you owe XXXX. Using their website and online banking feels like a throwback to 1998. There are many things that you cannot do, you must go in or call. You have to call the office to reset your password. You can also send them a message, but it takes them D A Y S to respond to anything. I look forward to the day we can refinance and leave Dean Bank in the dust, where it likes to be. Everyone I have spoken too has been very nice. BUT they are not equipped to handle business in today's world. If you have a rotary phone, still pay all your bills by mail, and like going into the bank for every single task then DEAN is definitely your bank.

I was just harrassed by a Dean Bank employee, Katherine, for a transaction that they mistakenly applied to another account. The worst part was her rude and unprofessional behavior while trying to resolve the lost transaction which in the end was in fact proved to be Dean's error. And, no apology for THEIR mistake! If you are thinking about banking or getting a loan with Dean Bank think twice. Dean Bank....NOT my bank!

Dean bank in Franklin has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff team. However, the flow of the space is not conducive to those with special needs. The new remodel does not have access that allows independent entry and the teller area is easily congested with merely a few customers in line. Anyone with a wheelchair or walker may want to visit during their slow times.

This bank is awful. They have no customer service. They treat their customers like they don't matter. Their systems are dated.

We were deciding upon local banks to join. DCU kept us waiting for 15 minutes before we even got acknowledged in the lobby. We left. We went over to Rockland, where they explained their accounts and sent us away with a flyer. The worst service ever. So we went to Dean. There was a line, but as we looked like we didn’t know what we needed, a woman came out from a back office to see if we needed help. We explained what had just transpired at the other banks, and she promised ne
