Steve is the best hair stylist I have ever had. He is a master at his craft.

Paige has been doing my hair for about 4-5 years now. There hasn't been one time that I've left disappointed. The salon is super clean, extremely welcoming, friendly and reasonably priced. Prior to visiting L'Equipe I've had horrible luck with hair salons/stylists. I couldn't be happier with Paige. She's very knowledgeable and i never leave her without feeling absolutely beautiful.

I was very impressed on how the young man did my husband's hair.

Steve is a great guy, runs a very nice salon for both women AND men. I have been going to him for over 10 years to get my hair cut and he never disappoints. I took a break during Covid but decided it was time to get a real haircut again. Glad I did, it was great to catch up and his staff was just as courteous and efficient as usual. Highly recommend.

Can’t comment on the quality of the services, although the premises were very nice and the employee on the desk was personable. My issue is with their on-line booking.I booked online for a noon, same day appointment at around 7a. The booking went through and I got a message that an email will confirm when the shop opens at 9a.I didn’t receive and email but a text (10a) instructing me to reply Y as confirmation to accept appointment notifications. I complied and got a response text saying that I am signed up for appt notifications (sic).I show up at 11:45a and I am told my appointment is at 2p.When I said that I booked for 12p online I was told that the online isn’t always accurate. Not having time for a 2p appointment, having after-school obligations, I was irritated by having my day wasted. If they are going to offer online booking then they should either honor the commitment or call the customer to confirm…especially as the admit the platform is, in their words, “not always accurate.”

I usually don't write negative reviews, instead opting to give most businesses the benefit of the doubt, but I had such a bad experience at L'Equipe that I feel compelled to say something. I made an appointment a couple weeks ago for a simple trim (no blow-dry). Over the phone, the receptionist I spoke with was polite and warm, and got me looking forward to having a seemingly well-rated salon so close to my new home in Franklin.I should mention now that I am latina, born in Colombia and adopted by a Boston area mother. Why mention this, you ask? Because the second I walked into L'Equipe, it was painfully clear that I was not welcomed and spent the next 30 minutes under surveillance and thinly veiled contempt. The subtext to every interaction from my rinse to the cut itself to the final checkout was, "what are YOU doing here?" Throughout my cut, which was administered half-heartedly and without any check-ins along the way, I watched in the mirror as a couple employees and patrons eyed me with constant suspicion. As a POC, I'm sadly used to a certain amount of this kind of behavior and prejudice, but I have rarely felt it so fully as at L'Equipe (ironic, given the self-consciously Europhile name).I couldn't wait to get out of there but worked hard to be polite and respectful, despite my discomfort for the entirety of my visit. You would think in a time like the one we are living through that we would be able to at least get through a simple transaction with a smile and some basic human decency. At every turn, whatever I tried, I was made to feel like garbage. Finally, while checking out, I was asked for my address. I asked why and was told, "so if you refer anyone, we can send you a discount card." When I told them no, because I honestly didn't feel comfortable them knowing where I live, the receptionist gave me the biggest stink-eye attitude I've ever experienced in a customer service setting. Still, feeling duty-bound to do so (I've worked my share of customer service jobs), I asked about a tip option using my card and was told that I would have to either write a check or go get cash. Welp, for the first time in my adult life, I left without tipping and, in hindsight, feel like it's karma that is responsible for me leaving my cash at home. Never going back and I truly hope that any POC out there reading this avoids this place. It is L'Merde.Service: Haircut

L'Èquipe (French, for 'The Team') is a nicely designed salon. My hair ?♀️ cut was a reasonable forty dollars. The hair products and jewelry were way over-priced (a small hair mousse was thirty-nine dollars!). Jewelry was just okay. Handy location in a huge shopping plaza.

After reading such great reviews, decided to give it a try.. I had a haircut 2 weeks back which was good and Paige did a good job and the blowdry was included with the cut which was good. But this week I had a hair color appointment for my roots with Steve and after the blowdry, I realized there are still a lot of white hair strands and when I showed it to Steve he said they are just stubborn strands. I came for a hair color application and I am very disappointed. To top up the disappointment they never told me blow dry would be extra charge. When I went to pay they charged me 145$ for a hair color application. I would have happily paid if my greys were covered and the blowdry didn't look so frizzy.. I had a better blowdry after my cut than now and the blowdry with cut was free but with hair color they charged me 55$ which is too much. Don't know if I want to go back or may be I will try a different stylist. I wish I could have written a positive review.
