The CSS at Baldpate is a First Class program of recovery, with very pleasant and knowledgeable counselors and staff. Definitely among the best in the state!

I went to Baldpate a month ago and it saved my life. Heads and shoulders above other detox places in Massachusetts. The accomodation are cozy and the food is legitimately good. Prepare to be surprised at how caring every staff member is from the kitchen to case workers. Plenty of groups a d ample smoke breaks. Worth it if you need help.

This place saved my life. Spent several months here many years ago and will never forget it. Solid staff, very unique housing in an historic building. All of this is reinforced by outside AA/NA meetings. Truly some of the most solid AA/NA in the country in this part of Mass. Also made many, many friends up there. I would go back now just for a break I loved it. Special shout out to Terry, she was a Godsend...

I came to baldpate for alcohol detox, as well as rehabilitation. The staff was amazing, and so helpful. They made my stay here as comfortable as possible. Not only were they assuring they I was kept medically safe, they provided great therapeutic groups. They assisted with planning after care, and the tools that would be needed to stay sober once we were back out in the community. If you are suffering from addition from alcohol or any substance, please reach out and consider coming here. I highly recommended Baldpate Hosptial.

Baldpate Hospital/Detox is by far the best place for help, All the staff is wonderful, with one or two exceptions, I highly recommend Baldpate, The food is great thank you Shannon and Joe Jo, The RT's are amazing Fred, Tom, Matt, Kim, Jonathan, Jenn x2, Ashley, Herald, The nursing staff is great Britney, Liza, J-Dab, Dr Anderson is great (hugs but don't tell) Now the Case worker's Jane, Terry, Sharon (insert British accent) Lisa, Janine I would not be in the frame of mind with out there help, Thank you so very much, I respect everyone there for the hard work you all do on a daily basis. PS. 2cigs per cig break, and be out side (not smoking on our down time) But I understand the rules are there for a reason! Thank you again! :)

Great place.great staff.yhe only bad thing i can say is WATCH UR MEDS.after a year with my psychiatrist getting the right formula down for me.i go into baldpate and they take away my Gabbapentin and welbutrin without even a Drs consultation.so i kicked gabapentin in there .which i was prescribed by my psychiatrist. kicked welbutrin in there.though i was in for alchol and mental health issues.meds in there are a HUGE issue

Julie Griffiths is a "social worker" at Baldpate. She is literally the most self righteous, insensitive, and unprofessional women I have ever encountered. During my stay a few years back I was suffering severe anxiety that was making me physically sick. She sent me to a post prison women's shelter in the inner city for "aftercare". I became suicidal and hopeless. I left and returned to Baldpate in hopes of better treatment. I am not a criminal. I was very deeply depressed and self medicating with benzos. Upon my return she started harassing me, humiliating me, and belittling/bullying me in front of other patients. I suffered panic, diarrhea, and other physical side effects from the stress. I come out now with this because since that time I sought really good care through Beth Israel Hospital and have now been clean and sober for 3 years. I cannot believe this woman was allowed to treat vulnerable, unstable people so poorly. It is truely a trauma I will never fully forget.
