I recently had to change suppliers and selected Townsend based primarily upon their reviews. Being a new "generator only" propane customer, I have to say that so far I am delighted with the customer service. During my new customer tank inspection, a leak was detected underground that has more than likely been there for many years. The service technician could have finished his inspection and sent me to the scheduling department for a future repair but instead he called for parts and labor assistance and had me back in service within a few hours. This included digging by hand on a brutally hot day. Who could ask for better service than that! If it weren't for the fact that I have been buying my home heating oil from another company for over 40 years, I would probably swap that as well. Thanks again to the two service techs who helped me out to keep my generator ready to run.

Townsend replaced a leaking oil tank. The work was done professionally in a very timely manner. They emptied the old tank, cut it up, removed it and installed a new tank exactly where we wanted it. When they were done they had me check out the work and I found the work done beautifully not a speck of oil on the cement, no mess, perfect!

Dishonest. Townsend Energy is a ripoff, I ordered 4 propane Tanks to my commercial building, they had my cc on file! At every delivery they would charge my cc $1,200+ I was getting deliveries almost every week! My wife went to Georgetown location to ask how much volume and at what price per a gallon are we paying for Because “We NEVER RECEIVED A STATEMENT NOT EVEN ONCE!!! My wife was told that they will mail us all statements we paid in the past BUT THEY NEVER DID. I canceled their service and when they picked up the 4 Tanks was propane left in them, so I called them about 4 months later to see what happened about the extra propane was left in the tanks they picked up from my commercial building, they told me that I had credit for few hundreds $$$$ and if I want a check to be send to me… Not sure why they wouldn’t send me the check right after I canceled their service? NEVER AGAIN, I had the worst experience dealing with Townsend Energy.

We recently moved and we were looking for oil delivery for our new home. After reading the reviews we knew we found a company we wanted to work with. From the first phone call, through delivery of our first oil fill up and now scheduling of our burner to be serviced… there is no doubt we made the right decision. every last employee we have come in contact with has shown that you are not a number but rather treated like family! We recommend Townsend for all your heating needs. Thank you for being there for our family!

Townsend just replaced my aging oil tank with a sleek new Roth double walled tank. The crew showed up right when they said they would and installation went smoothly. I also use Townsend for oil delivery and have had nothing but good experiences with them.

Townsend energy has always provided us great customer service. Even coming out with in a couple of hours on a holiday to get our furnace working.Moreover, their pricing has always been fair . If I could give 6 stars I would ! Mike from Townsend Energy was sent out within an hour of me placing a call with no heat and after my plumber left and told me to check on the propane level. I had plenty of propane so Mike methodically checked the pressure coming into the house and then went to furnace to do a thourough inspection. He knew what to look for and explained it all to me as he went through the logic and showed me the mechanics of the burner and why I was having the issue we were having. He explained how it can be easily fixed and also showed me how to troubleshoot from a homeowners perspective as well . I learned so much from him and really really appreciate the explanation and also appreciate that Townsend has professionals like him that are thorough and skilled . I would highly recommend them as Jim Townsend knows how to hire and keep good employees .

Townsend has been above and beyond incredible. I have had my oil through them for the past year and when my boiler went out in the middle of the night a few days ago, I gave them a call. The process of working with them from start to finish through a challenging situation was top notch. I almost made the mistake of choosing another company because there was a miscommunication around the delivery of new propane tanks, as I decided to switch from oil to propane, but Service Manager Joe Gurry recognized the problem and solved it immediately. Installers Ben and Matt (who were very kind, knowledgable and informative) were out the next day (which was also a Saturday) to make sure I had heat over the weekend after my new boiler was installed. It needs to be mentioned too that Joe worked with me into the evening that Friday to get everything situated so my family could get back into our house. I am so impressed with the team at Townsend and would recommend anyone to use their services.

I have been Townsend Energy's customer since Nov 2017 and have no issue in any matter. In dec 2021 my oil tank leaked (may be too old), first Townsend helped me to stop the leakage, sent a technician with in 30 min of my call and then my insurence company was not able to find any good supplier for the tank who could deliver new tank with in 2-3 weeks, but Townsend and their team jumped in and saved me from running out of heating oil. If you need top notch service you have to ignore their price.. you know what i mean ;) I could have given them 5 stars but 1 star lost, is for cost. I def recommend them and will be their customer as long as I need eating oil and gas.

Where to begin.. I'll start with Bill. He was highly responsive, both over email and phone and helped us choose an ideal location for our propane tank which required almost no digging... Thanks Bill! Then came Matt with the initial install. Pleasant, diligent and hard working. Then last but not least, Manny... Turns out our stove is built in a wonky way, requiring over 10 hours of work to complete an LP conversion. They were bound and determined to get the job done and get the stove in working order ahead of the evening's dinner. They did it, and refused to take the easy way out. Major kudos to the whole Townsend team, including Joe the Services Manager. Thank you!

How nice is it to call a business and actually get to speak with a live human being without having to wait 45+ minutes being terrorized by horrible, scratchy wait muzak?! Townsend Energy does it right; you call, push one number for the department whom you wish to speak, and voila! you get a real person who is helpful, friendly and polite. Had heating issues during the snowstorm. Tech were prompt, courteous and efficient. After hours calls on a weekend and even then, did not wait too long for service. They did not rush and explained every step of the way. We are VERY satisfied with the level of service we received.

I am the happiest of the happiest of women!!! I have not had a stove for 6 months and have waited patiently (contrary to what my husband says LOL) to be able to cook once again. After calling a billion companies to service us with a tank, the one (and only) that came through true to their word, was Townsend. When Bill arrived and told me who he was, I was so happy I began to cry. He quickly assessed the property to make sure standards were met to be able to put the propane tank in and he answered a couple of questions I had. He was kind and friendly. He shared with me details of this family owned company in Georgetown.As Bill was leaving, I asked him when he would be able to install the tank. He knew I needed it for Thanksgiving, but I told him I needed it by Saturday when family starts to come in for the holiday. He said he would try to make it happen but he didn't think it would be possible. Well...he came through. I am getting it installed the day my family arrives!!!!!Bill came out to the house, had the account set up, sent the emails that needed to be signed and in less than 24 hours I got an email with the day and time of the install. He, and this company, truly make people and customer service a priority.Thank you, Townsend!!! You are a HUGE part of making this THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS successful!!
