I hadn't had my hair cut in 2 years and was looking to make a drastic change, and it was one of those situations where once I decided I wanted to do it and worked up my courage, I didn't want to have to wait to anticipate an appointment somewhere.I had never gone to Great Clips before and was a little nervous, anticipating that a bargain-priced walk-in salon might not mean that the quality would be very high. I'm so glad to say that I was worried for absolutely nothing! I got an incredible haircut by Dawn. She provided a consultation and was very reassuring when I showed her a few photos and wasn't quite sure what to decide on for length, taking the texture of my hair into account with her recommendations. In just a few minutes, I went from hair below my chest up to just above my shoulders and with the mousse she put in it, it dried so nicely. I liked it better and better as it dried and the day went on! Dawn also mentioned they're a chemical-free salon just meaning that they don't use products with strong fragrances or harsh ingredients, and I really appreciated that as I'm sensitive to fragrances. My haircut was just done with a spritz of water but she did add just a little mouse to help guide it while it dried, and it had zero scent. Such a win! When I went to leave, the couple of ladies waiting after me were cheering haha. They had seen how long my hair was when I went in and they gassed me up and made me feel so special as I was leaving. Just such a great experience all around! I'm definitely coming back here and won't hesitate to recommend Great Clips to others. <3 Thank you, Dawn!!

As usual a good experience at Gloucester GreatClips. Only two girls on duty and they are both great and very busy. Always a good experience at this location. A little disappointed my coupon code was. Not. accepted for some reason…….

Had a great experience. Went in as I needed “repair” lol from a dear friend who hacked off 6 inches from my very long hair, but it was very bulky on the ends as my friend cut straight across - I have thick wavy hair, and so I asked Kate to take off “just the bulk” - which she did. She asked me did I want long layers and I said no, just thin out the ends. Then I got home and said,” no, she’s right, some long layers.” I called, and they let me go back the next day, no charge, and within minutes, Kate cut just a little more, this time long layers, and I really like it. Will definitely go again, and ask for Kate again.

I have gone here a few times in the past year. Dawn usually does a terrific job with my haircut. Today I had a new barber. I don’t know her name but she had black hair and tattoos. Literally the worst haircut I could have gotten. Didn’t care at all how it came out. I asked for a quick trim and next thing I know I basically have a buzz cut. I said MULTIPLE TIMES I like my hair long I just needed a cleanup. She totally disregarded this. If you go to this place make sure Dawn is cutting your hair, she always has done a great job.I’ll probably never go to this place again.
