I used to live in 2 Grafton Common, just across from the Inn 25 years back and I knew the Inn's location. It was a historical building, nice, lot of modern amenities yet in old style which I personally like. Clean and comfortable bed, spacious room, bathroom is ok. Appreciate the fridge and hair dryer. The only thing is that I spent 1 night there in the beginning of October and there was no room heater. It was not super-cold but as I went there from Arizona, to me it was cold. I noticed it in night but didn't call the host for it as it was not terrible cold or freezing. But my suggestion would be to put a room heater. The tea-coffee arrangement is nice. I must appreciate the host's nice communication and appreciate that he did let me do early check-in. Grafton is a quaint small town with lots of trees in Common across from the Inn and I enjoyed it immensely but I must write that there was no front desk/reception in the building, the room key was in the lockbox, the front door stays open, inside light is dim, my room was No. 7 on 3rd floor with dim-lighted corridor and there was a small you get when you enter in an old house......to me all these were ok but may not be to everybody. An alone person may feel eerie or unsafe there. I stayed there for October 9, 2023.Walkability: you can walk in this quaint town and enjoy the greenery.

Tavern and Inn restaurants. Food good. Inn ambiance better than barn. Service pleasant and capable. Often closed for special events.

Clean room, coffee was good (k cup) could have used more lights in hallway next to k cup machine, and a little cream for coffee would have been nice.

This Inn was a disgrace. Do not book this place!! Smelly, dirty and broken down. The Tavern is closed but the Inn is open. Sign says bar is undergoing renovations but no work was done when we were here 3 nights during the week. Some rooms are for tenants. Felt unsafe to stay there with two men smoking cigarettes and pot every night outside. Stay away.

The rooms are quaint, but clean and reasonably priced. Charlie, the manager is incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. He and Pat, the housekeeper, took such good care of our family during the time we were there for my brother's funeral. The bar and restaurant were closed for renovation during our stay. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Luckily there is a convenience store a stone's throw away. I would stay there again. Old new england character

This hotel has no staff on site. The room keys are in a lock box. The grille/tavern is closed indefinitely. I did not feel safe.Safety: Not safe.

For the past two weeks I ordered fish and chips (well mash potatoes) for Lent. The fish was spot on. You couldn't get any better. Fresh and done just right. Cudos to the kitchen staff. The Bahama mama was great as well.

Cozy atmosphere with great service! Awesome chowdah too if you're on the Common, it's worth the stop

My husband and I stayed here while visiting my family for the holidays. I actually grew up a Grafton native and had never stepped inside the Grafton Inn before. It is quaint and comfortable and the bartender, who checked us in and assisted us with any needs was wonderful and accomadating. The Inn was nice and tidy. The cost per night is a bit on the high side for what you get, you do get a mini fridge, but no microwave and there is one chair, but no table. We would have also liked to see more shampoo or conditioner. The little packets we got barely did the trick. Overall the experience was very pleasant and we will likely be staying here whenever we visit my family in the future.Walkability: In the very center of town, able to walk to all the little shops and the common.

I have lived in the area for 18 years and have enjoyed hunters Grill for many many years however, they have completely redone the place in the past few months and I don't like it at all anymore. It has lost its charm. It's now like a cheap bar with not many tables. No more nice one fireplace and a dartboard right in the middle of the seating area. How ridiculous. The food is nothing like it used to be. It's just a pub menu. None of that nice old fashion home cooked New England Inn type atmosphere or food. Very disappointed in a place that's been very good for several years.

We were spending one night here and weren't quite sure what to expect. Walking in was like walking in to CHEERS, except nobody knew my name. The people were lively and friendly. It was a little strange having the waitress check us into our room but she was so much fun. Once checked in, we ordered food to eat in our room and the food was sooo good! My husband was in love with the clam chowder. I had the potato skins and I was surprised at how big and loaded they were. We shared a pizza and it was also really good.

The beer was good, decent selection and the service was great. I had french onion soup (3 out of 10) and a flatbread (0 out of 10). Sorry, I only write this to try to help. The pizza is the worst I've ever had. Cheap cheese, the sauce was tasteless and it wasn't really cooked. Literally worse than cafeteria pizza. The key ingredient to pizza is to show some care. And this was not present. Hope you guys turn it around.

40 BED BUG BITES RECEIVED IN ROOM #4; INN IGNORED ALL OF MY MESSAGES TO DATE (over 1 1/2 months). I stayed August 12th night and spotted a random insect on my pillow. I took a good look at it and then assumed that a bed bug would not be that large—plus it was an expensive room with great reviews, mostly rated 10/10 recently. After checking out early August 13th morning, I immediately began scratching at my right thigh during my long drive to Maryland. August 14th I was awakened in my sleep at 3am by itchiness everywhere, from my forehead (which looks like knots, as if I had been hit in the face) to my feet. I then did an online search for an image of a bed bug, and instantly confirmed that the bug I saw in Room 4 is a bed bug. I messaged The Grafton Inn through the booking website's thread that they had initiated with "We look forward to your upcoming stay with us." I wrote them a total of 3 times there, and when I copied my concerns to an email to them, the email bounced immediately. I wanted to give them the opportunity to make things right but I have received no response; they have ignored me for 1 1/2 months now. I suffered with a severe reaction to these bites for 6 days, and I wouldn't wish that pain, itching, burning, and stinging on my worst enemy. This is particularly aggravating because I see that The Grafton Inn almost always responds publicly the SAME DAY as reviews left for them. They simply did not answer their phone when a booking site agent tried to contact them on my behalf. This is beyond unacceptable.
