“Stayed in February during ski season. Room are pricey. But then all of the Berkshires hotels are. Room was clean bed was comfortable. Front staff were pleasant. Breakfast was typical nothing fancy but it was good. Pool was open.”
“My wife and I read the reviews, chose it for their dogs-are-free-even-three policy. And you can use the hot tub and pool at the Red Lion (which we did). Stayed in #9. Loved it! Yes, it's a run-down motor court with a fresh coat of paint. But on a weekday in March we had the whole place to ourselves, so no tangling with other dogs or sounds from other guests. It was clean. The mattresses are passable (no memory foam, thank you!). Comforter, linens and towels were fresh and new, as were the tiles and shower in bathroom. It's set well-back from road, with wide buffer of lawns surrounded by lovely old woods. So plenty of space right outside for dog walking (just check for ticks). Would have been different if there were other guests, but we loved the solitude and the funky old charm. Dog-lovers only.”
