Needed a new tire tube, these guys are so aware and down to earth they see me, recognize the cluelessness, come take a quick glance at this picture and in 2 minutes I am out the door. 5 bucks, cheap or cheaper than any wholesaler.

Met Bill today for the first time. Brought him my little DAHON Broadway that a friend had gifted to me recently. Bill took the time to put the bike up on a stand and give me a reasonable estimate on some repairs and adjustments it'll need to be road worthy once again. Nothing he saw or recommended be done surprised me. I'd been bringing bikes to the shop long before he purchased it from its founder and one of my favorite local business owners, Chris Ethier. I haven't ridden in awhile since my previous bike had been stolen so it was nice to step into the familiar space. Bill has a nice crew working just behind the counter. I got to watch briefly as a younger member of the staff was given a task and instruction. Good to see knowledge and experience being passed on to a new generation.I'm excited to get my bike back next time I stop in. I encourage you to give Bill your business. We need to keep these shops around. There's only so much Amazon can do and none of it will be of help if you're out on a ride and your bike hasn't been properly serviced.(Follow-up)The crew at Bicycle World wasted no time getting my bike back on the road. A few hours after dropping it off I got the call to pick it up. Bill did a great job and came in right on his estimated cost. I couldn't be happier. Now I can park my truck a few miles from my job sites and avoid getting stuck in the hours long lines of traffic leaving Tanglewood during the summer. The last thing I want to do after working video cameras all day is sit in bumper to bumper traffic. The DAHON rides again...

Thought the service and prices were too good to be true...they were not!! Bill and staff were amazing setting me up with my new road bike. Drove 4 hours for it and would do it again! Probably one of the last true local bike shops around. Thanks again!

Was happy with my purchase. I bought a used bike which looked to be in great condition. But after 30 seconds on it I realized the tire was rubbing and slowing me down. So I immidiatley brought it back and they loosened the front break pads a little. I haven’t rode it since but I noticed that it didn’t fully go away. Today I spun the tire to check out of paranoia and the front rim is bent. Meaning they saw it, knew it, then sold it to me anyways. Also didn’t mention it when “fixing” the problem. Having young dudes running the place is cool, but not when you’re too cool to teach someone about fixing their issues. Probably cause he was trying to push me out the door before I noticed the bent rim. Then it could be user issue. But I haven’t even rode the bike. So 3 stars. Mediocre service at best. Just like the rest of this dead end town. $400 just to have issues with the bike. Shoulda waited and bought brand new. Won’t ever purchase from here again. Very disappointing, as now I have to go buy a New rim.Edit: after reading other reviews I’d like to clarify. The guy who sold me the bike was very polite and helpful. Can always improve but I have no complaints. When I came back to fix it, it was the mechanic who treated me like I was some novice bike rider. Which I am but that doesn’t mean I’m not a smart or capable human being. I didn’t come in there and start running my mouth cause you’re not fighters or because you possibly lack knowledge in something I’m skilled in. I’m sure y’all don’t care as you have a group of bike riding friends that support and network your business. But from a regular customer aspect, I’ll def never go back just to be belittled and sold damaged items. Then on top of it, get lied to about what was actually wrong with it. Shameful.

I promise you won't find a shop in the area doing more to get people on bikes and involved in the community. Great sales and service... seriously. They're great at talking through details and being real about prices, parts, bikes, riding needs etc.Community... Bill leads a more solid set of group rides for all skills than any other shop i know in the area. He has introduced more mountain bike riders to the sport and community than any other shop or person i know. He is also a HUGE supporter of our local trail advocacy groups and the region's around us as well. This shop is the real deal. Perfect customer service experience with an owner and staff who are all willing to work with you to get it right.

I’ve been to this shop a few times for either inquiries or repairs, yet every time I go, I am met with hostile, unfriendly individuals. Thankfully there is another local bike store in town…3rd strike, you’re out.

I highly recommend going and seeing Bill and his crew for all your bicycle needs. My wife and I each bought mountain bikes this year, and they really make you feel like friends from the start. Great service, great products, and great prices. We are very happy

This place is nothing special. Although I took my brother here just to have his tire and tube replaced. The guy told him he can't change the tire because the brake pads are worn out. That basically sounds like "I don't feel like changing the tire on the bike."

These folks rock! I've been in several times before, and they're always helpful. I talked to them last week about bringing my bike in to get the brakes adjusted, they suggested calling early this week and they could fit me in. Well, I had a brake emergency last night... called fist thing this morning, brought it in half hour later, had breakfast down the road and picked up a few things at the market in town. Went back less than 90 minutes later, new cable installed, everything else in the brake system was cleaned up and adjusted, brakes working better than when the bike was new a year ago. On the way out I got some maintenance advice, and some suggestions for new tires. All for about $35. Most important for me as a daily bike commuter (ie my primary transportation), I know I can call them up and if at all possible they'll fit me in same day. Priceless! Thanks folks!

Great local bike shop! I was passing through Greenfield on my way to NH to ride at Highland Mountain bike park. I had previously just come from riding Windham bike park and Mountain Creek on a little vacation tour. I had pinch flatted my front tire riding at the other parks and was in need of a new tire (was running a tube in my flat tire temporarily). They had everything I needed and offered some great advice. Picked up a Maxxis DHF in double down casing and mounted it myself in the parking lot. They let me borrow the tools I needed and then set the bead with their air compressor. They recommended I check out Thunder Mountain in the future which I definitely plan to do. Overall, I had an excellent experience here and would definitely come back again if I'm in the area.Pros:-Excellent customer service with great local vibes-Had what I needed (for enduro/DH riding)Cons:-Not a huge selection of offerings for what I was looking for
