The pharmacists at S&S have always been prompt, professional, and friendly. It feels to me like the old fashioned drug store but with updated benefits. Go there for prescriptions, vaccinations, and general information.

I have a chronic condition for which I take 2 medications. I had 3 days of medications left and one of them was out of refills. I called in to get an easy refill and found it was going to be a few days before I was able to get it refilled. (I had 5 doses left, so that's not good.) I panicked and called up to speak with the pharmacist. She was very kind and understanding of my situation. She said she could give me an emergency refill for 3 days and however long it took for my doctor to call in the order. I felt so much better after talking to her.

I take 2 prescriptions that I've taken for over 12 years for a chronic disease, most of which I've picked up at Stop & Shop locations in Massachusetts. If I don't take them, my death would be imminent. When I had spoken with my doctor's assistant saying that I needed to refill my prescriptions, she said she would send in an order to them after she got off the phone with me. This was over 2 weeks ago. I hadn't gotten a text or call from the pharmacy saying my meds were ready to pick up. I tried calling them in. I was told I didn't have any more refills. ?????? It didn't make sense. They said they would have to call my doctor and would call me when they were ready. Three days went by and I had heard nothing. I called AGAIN and was told AGAIN they needed to call my doctor. I wanted to make sure I got them before the snow emergency, just in case it was more snow than predicted and I wasn't able to get out. I called again and they still hadn't spoken with my doctor. ?????? I couldn't believe it. In my opinion, they showed no compassion, only apathy. Later that day, I got a text that my prescriptions were ready. My husband picked them up for me. When he got home and I opened the bag, they were allergy meds, not the life-or-death medications I needed. The blizzard came and went and I still hadn't received a call or text. On Saturday night, when I realized I had only 4 doses left - 2 more days worth - I panicked. A little after 4:15 AM on Sunday, I was overwhelmed with fear and very upset. After making a few calls, I finally reached my doctor's assistant's line and left a frantic voicemail that the pharmacy wasn't giving me refills and I needed help. I received a call from the assistant early Monday morning who told me that the prescription was called in over 2 weeks ago - ?????? - so she didn't understand why they weren't giving me my meds. She said she would call the pharmacy and put the order in again. When I spoke to her afterward, she said the pharmacy claimed that they never got the order. ?????? She told them that she was looking at the order that was sent on her system and they should have received it over 2 weeks ago. They had no explanation, so she sent in another order and had to stay on the phone with them to verify they had received it. When it showed up in their system, they confirmed they had it and would process the order right away. Getting prescription drugs that you need in order to survive shouldn't be this difficult. From their system, they know what medications I take and how long I've been taking them. They completely dropped the ball on this and caused me a lot of stress that could have been prevented.

3 day runaround for a necessary prescription. Was told it wasn't in stock for several days, when the prescription had actually been filled and ready. Most recently, they finally told me that YES, it was ready, but they close in 15 minutes. I got there in 10, only to find them already locked up and gone home, with my pills sitting on the counter. Very poorly managed, I will not trust them with important medications any more.

Reliable pharmacists with great service, they recognize me before I even get to the counter and have my prescriptions ready!
