On my most recent visit to buy my child overpriced paint i saw swastikas scribbled on the notebooks that are out to try the pens. I looked through the others and found a bunch of facistist notes. I calmly removed the bigotry pages from the books and stuffed them in my purse. On the way out there were multiple older women being forced to use self checkout with tears in their eyes and a man shouted at me when I didn't thank him for holding the door.
I suspect he was the one testing the gel pens.

There was no help offered or found while looking for frames. Then as leaving no one at checkout so had to do self check out.I have not had this experience previously and hoping one time thing.

All around unpleasant experience. I won't go to Michael's again. My intent was custom framing but manager discouraged me from doing that Suggested I buy one on the floor. Said custom required filling out a form precise measurement, choosing matting and borders . I'm surmising that she, as manager, didn't have the time as there was only a trainee at the frame counter and a person at the register. Three personnel on a busy Saturday. I was left standing at the register for 15 minutes while customer before tried repeatedly to swipe her card ..... employee could have keyed in the card number but instead just stood there; likewise the manager who sauntered over and had no advice to offer to help the customer. When I finally got my turn, the manager opened up a second register which she could have done while I shifted from one foot to the other on my cane! When I returned home an item that I was charged for had not been bagged so I have to go back to the store for a credit or if the item is still available take it and leave. No apology offered either.

Only two staff people to ring. One worker seemed new or out of touch with how to service her customer. Took forever to cash out. Staff person was cordial but seemed pulled in other directions. Great products though and the sales are tremendous.
