The Pet Smart Hanover MA store is great and Brittany in the grooming salon is so kind to our new rescue pup. She takes such great care of him and each time he goes he is less afraid of the bath and nail trim. Highly recommend this store and Brittany!

I wish there was a place for NO stars. I brought my dog here after not being able to get into our regular groomer. I should have known better. We have a large breed dog so they said it would take three hours. After 3 1/2 hours and no phone call I decided to just show up. They said she was very matted and not in good shape" This was a surprise to me. Just the day before she had been to the vet and they didnt say anything. I told them the dog was fine. She asked if we ever brushed our dog - which we do. I was insulted, but none the less I left. Almost two hours later we got a call that they couldnt not finish the haircut because our dog is violent. Now, she had been there for five hours. Our dog has been to other groomers and we have NEVER had any issues.
Not only are the people who work here beyond capable but they were downright rude.
We will never go back there. Zero stars. read your reviews before trying new places.

I’ve spent the last few days trying to decide whether I should write this review, I never write bad reviews. I brush and bathe Sebastian on a very regular basis, and if I ever get too busy and its been a while I take him to Pet Supplies Plus for a brush and wash. I was away last week and he was being watched by someone, so I booked an appointment here because it was the closest to where he was.
I requested a simple bath and brush for $55 which on the website said included a paw pad trim, a nail trim, and a few other things. When Sebastian was brought for his appointment the woman wanted to speak to me on the phone, and explained to me that he was going to need multiple additional treatments because of how much brushing they would have to do. I’ve never had this issue anywhere else but I decided to let it go and let them do what they needed to do. I was fine with paying extra if it was going to be more work but I was beyond disappointed when I saw him.
The groomer had for some reason trimmed all the fluff off his ears which I did not ask for or want, and it was done terribly. His ears are now completely uneven and choppy, it looks like they literally just cut a chunk out of the side of his head. I am 100% certain he didnt have mats or tangles there, which infuriates me because it means the groomer did this simply for cosmetic purposes and what she thought looked good. My dog looks 10x worse now than he did before, and they didnt even touch his paw pads or nails. So not only did they cut his hair which I did not want them to, but they didnt even provide the services that I initially paid for. And I still managed to pay $100 more than advertised on the website when I booked his appointment.
Beyond disappointed, down $100 and my poor boy looks like an idiot :(

went to buy a parakeet. I was told by an employee that everyone is on break and he's too busy putting away a truck to help. Going to go to petco where I'll be helped.

Grooming section = the employees love what they do and it shows when they greet your pup.

Very large selection and the isles were well organized and clean. It was very easy to locate my pets section and explore other pet supplies as well. The cashier was very friendly and personable. It was a welcoming organized place and the prices were reasonable

Should not be PetSmart but rather PetDumb.Their groomers are arrogant, and do not listen to instructions. How many more dog owners have to complain that they do not want their dogs shaved. Period. You can’t be that stupid.
