There’s always cashiers and I rarely have to bag my own groceries. Fair prices for good quality items. Store is clean. Deli could use some efficiency but not terrible.
If left stop & shop for good.

Nice produce dept and bakery. The staff has been rude lately. Young service desk girl particular last time I was there. **Today is October 2, 2025. Covid alert!!!! This is an add on to my original review. I will not be shopping at Shaws in Hanson anytime soon. It is come to my attention that they order and encourage employees with Covid to come to work. At the moment there are several departments that work directly with food that are sick this week. I’m out!!! Now and forever! And Where, in Gods name did the sanitizing wipes that you used to provide at the door go?

Looks like my first review of this got deleted. I don’t normally post reviews but since this experience with an Employee was so horrible I am making sure they get my 1 star review. My boyfriend and I were at the Weymouth shaws and were heading to check out when I accidentally dropped a yogurt parfait. I was mortified but luckily the granola in separate packaging on top was what mostly spilled. It wasn’t a huge deal but I have social anxiety so I got on my knees and was cleaning it up. I got most of it and just did not know where to put it. As I am cleaning what looks to be a higher up employee who is a man is ordering his workers around a bit rudely. Then a customer comes up to him askingfor help at a register. Instead of helping her himself he yelled that a manger should be over there and got difficult when she said no one was there to help. He just got annoyed before shouting to what looks to be a 17 year old worker and dumps her off to him. As this is happening a nice lady behind the counter asked if I had spilled the yogurt. We said yes and she said to just leave it and they will take care of it. We walk away to replace our item and as we walk back the same rude man/employee from before scream to us, “HEY YOU TWO, DID YOU DROP THIS?” We say yes startled by how angry and aggressive he was. Then he followed with “WELL THEN YOU SHOULD ACTUALLY TELL SOMEONE ABOUT IT” At this point I am having a panic attack and the nice lady behind the counter comes to our defense and tells him we did tell her. And he shrugs puts his hand up and doesnt even apologize. I couldn’t keep my panic attack under control so my boyfriend payed while I left for the car crying. He seemed like either a manager or owner but even so. Any employee who screams and is rude to multiple customers in a matter of minutes and makes one have to leave the store crying should not be in charge of any other employees. I regret not staying and getting his name to report him to the company. But due to that horrible experience we are never going back and I would advise others to shop somewhere that you dont have to worry about being yelled at by the employees during your shopping experience.

They don’t count mayo as a condiment .. and many things are not organized properly ..
Spent 45 minutes searching for a few simple things for lunch.. nobody to help .
Gave up and left my stuff behind .. walking out there was a huge group of employees huddled in the front chilling out.
Either they Miss categorized things on purpose to keep you there longer like we’re dogs.
Or the designers are at best dyslexic..
This is why I stay away from

After 26 years going to Shaw’s in Hanson, I have never had a problem until today. I am making an Italian calzone and only need one slice of 6 different deli meats. A new hire (I’ve never seen him before) a young gentleman. Another employee I’ve never seen before shoulder length blonde hair told the gentleman “We don’t take lists” Isaid I have never once had a problem. I spoke to the Deli manager Paul, he said some people don’t like doing that. I said I’ve been coming here since 1998 and I have Never had a problem. As I was leaving Paul the Deli manager was coming in the door. I said because of today, I will never come back. By the was the woman with the shoulder length blonde hair was Very arrogant! Good Luck with her! Good Bye Shaw’s!!!
