“We all love our pets and want the best for them,right? Believe me I’ve done my research and you can count on South Hingham Veterinary Services. It’s immaculate, each pet receives their own room for exam/ treatment. Plenty of available parking and easy accessibility. The staff are so friendly, but most important of all, animals are treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism. Everyone is willing to work with each animal as an individual. I highly recommend this veterinary office”
“Dr mertz is great. I've been bringing a variety of animals to him over the last 10+ years. And prices are amazing for the services. I need to call them soon actually to make an appointment for my tortoises to get their nails and beaks trimmed! I've brought chickens here as well.They do take wildlife for rehab. Call first and make sure you go to the correct door for wildlife. It's not the same as the regular vet section.You can also take a tour of the facility. I think it's like 5 for self guided and 10 for a guided one. I always learn something when I'm there”

“Dr. McAdam and her team are absolutely top notch!! I have only been lucky enough to use her services once. When my mother's cat wasn't eating, we brought her to South Shore Animal Services as a second opinion after spending an extraordinary amount over multiple visits at another vet and coming to no resolution. Within minutes of the appointment, Dr. M identified a likely tumor in the cat's abdomen by touch (using her hands). X-rays confirmed the worst and our cat is now over the rainbow bridge.In this sensitive moment, Dr. M and team went above and beyond to comfort my elderly mother and make her cat as comfortable as possible in her last moments. This combination of endless compassion for both humans and animals involved combined with the knowledgeable, high quality care is not something to take for granted. I'm extremely grateful, thank you!”

“Bonnie (and Erin) came to examine my 12 year old 120# Yellow Lab Cooper yesterday. I can't say enough good things about their service. Bonnie was recommended by Cooper's former Vet due to the fact it's very difficult and stressful to Coop to get him in the car for a visit to the Vet's office. The exam was very thorough and I felt as if they were caring for their own pet. They cleaned his ears, checked him from head to toe and gave me some solution to help with a growth on his back. Great service and very nice folks!”

They got us in the day that I called, treated her, took care of her, and brought her back to health. “Amazing, caring, and professional staff. Our dog had surgery here and it went great. Fearing a large bill but it came out doable!Just an fyi - they don’t have overnight care (we had to take our dog to pet ER down the street) so of surgery required schedule it in the AM with them!”

They have made our first experience as horse owners extremely easy and helped us with our "***** questions lol! Could not imagine a better service. They always let us know if they are running late so we can adjust. They offer so many services from dentistry to foaling, making it easy to schedule what you need. All 4 of my hedgehogs were just seen & given meds for under like 5hun.One of my females is being treated for a leg injury moon , Anari is being treated for her breathing she was born sick. The doctors will take the time to go over all options with you, depending on whatever is best for your animal. Depending on. What's best for you financially.”
