“Got my new rescued pit bull, Gimli, neutered through their pit fix program. Also got his nails trimmed and got him microchipped. It only cost a little over $100 for everything and that was including a $10 donation to help fund the program! This program is fantastic! The staff was very friendly and the neutering went smoothly and he healed up great! Everyone who has a pit bull should use this program, especially if you can't afford going to your normal vet for fixing your doggo! This makes it affordable for everyone. I'm so happy I could save money and do what's best for Gimli. There are way too many pits in need of homes. Please be a responsible pit mom or dad and spay/neuter ? and donate if you can to help fund this wonderful program! Thank you to everyone at Second Chance! Including a picture of Gimli (beige and white pit) and his sister Willow (brindle pit/boxer) so I can share their cuteness with everyone! ?”

“i was not previously a client here, but they were able to squeeze me in to have a same day sick appointment for my pet mouse Maria. all the staff were incredibly nice and professional, and when i walked into the building it was extremely clean. they asked me thorough questions about my pet's information and living conditions. i unfortunately had to make the decision to euthanize my mouse, and the vet here gave me reasonable options and spoke from expertise, but let me make the decision myself with no pressure added. when i came back to the building, the staff were very comforting and made the process as easy as they could. despite them being busy, they were able to give me a private room for a while to say goodbye. they explained how the procedure would work, they sedated her and gave her back to me so she would fall asleep in my hands and have that be the last thing she remembered, and then they took her back to euthanize her. the staff were so comforting through the whole process and gave me tissues. i opted to take her remains home to hopefully give her other mouse friends some closure, and i wasn't expecting how nicely they handled her remains. they gave her to me wrapped in a cloth in a bag with her name on it. they also collected a few pieces of her hair to put in a tiny jar and took her paw prints for me without me asking them. i am so incredibly grateful for the staff here and what they've done for me they are really amazing. THANK YOU!! ”

“Dr. Hodder actually cares about animals! He doesn't look at your pets like they're a cash register. I am so grateful he was recommended to me! He is MY Vet!”

“I have been taking my shiba, Ryu here for the past 3 years and have always felt warmly greeted whether it be on the phone or in person. I have nothing but respect for all the staff as they keep this facility operating and do their best to be available especially sudden health urgencies. The VCA Wickabog team are all around wonderful, knowledgeable, and professional! Without them, I would not have been able to keep Ryu's allergies at bay. Without them, Ryu wouldn't have swiftly recovered from his slipped disc injury or have even caught early stages of pneumonia. He is in the best shape he's ever been and I have them to thank for being so patient, caring, and understanding of him and his breed. I've always appreciated the team following up and checking on him during those times he was recovering and sharing any news of his lab results. Please be patient with the team as they only have a limited number of rooms available and does get very busy! There is plenty of parking as they have a designated lot. I decided to also try out their grooming services and am sure glad that I did (please enjoy the attached photo for reference). Thank you VCA Wickabog Team for always taking good care of Ryu!”

“Wonderful staff and Vet ! Love them all, they took really good care of my dog, I would really take my pet here always if it wasn't because of the high charges for everything there, unfortunately if you don't have insurance or high income to afford going more often for follow -ups no matter if they offer you financing still to much for one person with a fix income or live check by check to handle the cost on every visit I love the place but not all can afford it. I'm still paying for a surgery for my pet , it's hard and sacrificing. But I have to say other than that, they are all wonderful human beings and the ladies on front desk are the sweetest ever !!”
