Charming spot! The tour was informative and the alpacas were super-cute. The store is very well-stocked with classy and fun alpaca products and local items like maple syrup. Highly recommended!

My mom "took me there" for my bday. She had a great time. Kept referencing Sir Erik, saying, "we have two Eric's in the building now" with zero reference (my names Eric, and also we were outside so folks were confused). She ended up needing to sit down for a bit (83 and the hip sometimes gets grumpy) and the folks there were super understanding and accommodating and got her some water when she requested it. Overall it was a bday for the books.

GREAT TOUR!! We enjoyed it so much. We were given the opportunity to feed and pet the alpacas. We got to go in both pens, and we really enjoyed it. We did not expect to be able to get as close to as many of them as we did. We learned a ton of the names for the sweet alpacas, learned about their care and upkeep, and how they are groomed. The gift shop was super cute & I was able to get alpaca wool socks! Overall, would HIGHLY recommend!

An awesome experience and great tour. The shop is filled of plenty options to choose from to support the farm: from socks to beanies to plush toys, all made from the alpacas wool. Picture is of Reggie, really chill guy, great personality.

I did a ranch tour for my birthday today. It was an amazing time. The owners take great care of the alpacas and are super friendly and knowledgeable. They also protect the animals from being attacked from kids and being petted and bombarded by humans all day which seems pretty rare.

This place is absolutely wonderful and staff are so nice and knowledgeable! My family loved learning a lot about alpacas and getting close with these super cute animals... Will be back again to support the farm by joining some yoga classes and getting stuffs from their lovely gift shop.

The review: With their free tours and fuzzy, irresistible alpacas, there is no reason not to visit the Harvard Alpaca Ranch. The tour consists of a "meet and greet" with all of the alpacas, first the girls section and then the boys. The owner, Matt, led the tour, and he was awesome. He explained each alpaca's relation to one another and their back stories, it was like a ruminant reality show. It was such a unique opportunity to converse with him, find out how does one get into alpaca farming, and learn the workings of an alpaca farm. They are nosy, lazy, sassy, and have the absolute cutest faces. As a lover (ok fine, a worshipper) of fuzzy creatures, it must be noted that these alpacas are not particularly friendly--not much petting will occur. Children?: Of note for energetic children, there are also rules surrounding the alpacas, like not being able to approach or touch from behind to avoid kicking. To know: This is not a nonprofit organization, meaning it is a business and although the tour is free, they encourage purchases and donations afterwards (there is a feeling of obligation after such a thorough and involved tour). Funds support their business and other programs (again, it's a business and it should be noted that they charge patients for alpaca therapy). Bathrooms: You should probably prepare your bladder before you get here. The available restroom is a port-a-potty. Overall, this was a lovely spot to visit in MA, and there are many trails and farms in the area to explore afterwards. Thank you for the visit!
