I am writing this review to share my experience with KMC Construction, who were hired in May 2023 to build a restaurant. Unfortunately, despite having received 90% of the funds for the project, KMC Construction has done minimal to no work and failed to meet basic expectations in areas such as plumbing, framing, and electrical installation.
From the outset, the quality of their work was subpar, with significant issues in key aspects of construction. We found that the plumbing, framing, and electrical work performed by their team was either incomplete or inaccurate, leading to safety concerns and delays.
After months of excuses and no meaningful progress on the project, we were left with no choice but to terminate their contract. KMC Construction consistently failed to complete the work in a timely manner and failed to provide valid reasons for the delays. Ultimately, we had no choice but to seek another contractor to finish the project.
Based on our experience, I would caution others against hiring KMC Construction for their projects. Their lack of professionalism, failure to meet deadlines, and inability to complete accurate work caused considerable frustration and disruption to our business plans.

Reliable contractor! They were working on a neighbors house when I noticed their lawn sign and called the phone number, speaking directly with Kyle. He provided me with a free detailed estimate the next day. I highly recommend KMC!

We are a group home. KMC built us a new back porch, and installed new gutters. KMC staff were flexible, understanding of our specific needs, and did a beautiful job. Highly recommended!

This is an update to my original review in which I described a terribly built garage, that is flooded YEAR round. The floor isn't even either, so water pools in the back corner. KMC's reply on to it on yelp was filled with mistruths. They absolutely tried to overcharge me and pressured me to send a final check that was $600 more than what I had owed. Shall I post the texts?? They knew about the water situation from the beginning. What you're reading in their reply is that they improperly assessed the project. You can expect a TON of that from The Wilbur Group and KMC. So the original quote keeps creeping up. My project started as an improperly assessed $4000 wall demo that turned into a garage. $30K later, they said I needed to add a drain in my yard toward the END of the project's completion, as they realized the shoddy work they did would not hold up to ground that buries the side of the garage. Every contractor I've brought to my home since has encouraged me to contact the Attorney General. Yes we both have evidence that the original quote did not contain things that KMC admit were needed. That Supports my narrative. I didn't Prefer cinder block, I was pressured to use it because the job was taking so long. I'm no expert. Why in the world would I advise professionals? If I had preferred it, the quote would have indicated cinder block. Yes inspectors approved it, but they're not telling you about how previously inspectors told them to stop and make a new plan as their original one was unsafe for my house, underscoring the lack of quality of their work. Shall I keep going, Kyle? I have always and do appreciate that they added insulation to my garage ceiling after leaving a gaping hole from the outside to my bedroom from early Dec - late Jan. Kyle, I have already tried to contact KMC directly. Thank you for inviting me to do something that I've already done. You sent someone to assess it and I've never heard back. I invite you to Return the contact that I had initiated weeks ago. Instead, I only got derisive texts from your son. Nobody's perfect. I'm just looking for accountability. I paid $30,000 and the garage sucks. And I now have costly improvements to make on a brand new garage. I should add, the electrical outlet in their doesn't work. Thank you for reading.

I had a tremendous flood in my home caused by a washing machine on 3rd floor the entire left side of my home had to be gutted i hired Kyle Mathews construction to do all my work not only did my home come out better than i ever expected the men from start to finish were professional and considerate the entire project, i highly recommend this companyI will definitely use them in future projects

A Tree fell on my house. Kyle and Cameron were professional and gave me quick quote and helped me work with insurance. They were much attentive to my needs and worked with me throughout the process. They fixed the roof, gutters, windows and some closets. It took some time but in the end all was done as expected.Services: Exterior structural repairs

Can't say enough about the quality, professionalism, attention detail and responsiveness of Mel and his team at KMC. They took our concept for our new showroom in Burlington, gave us ideas, advice and worked within our budget to bring it to life. Mel always answered his phone for every question -- ALWAYS. And if there was bad news to deliver about backordered supplies, he was upfront about it and was already working on solutions. In a time when everyone complains about the lack of help, I was amazed how quickly KMC could redirect skilled personnel to our job. Mel has so many trusted resources from his years in business.
