New England Rentals and Property Management manages 12 Feake in Sandwich, the house we rented via VRBO for a wedding we attended over Labor Day. They were terrific and very thorough in their instructions, providing us with everything we needed. After we booked the house, we learned that the wedding we were attending started at 2:00, but we would not be able to get into the house until 4:00 as the cleaning service needed time. Given we were bringing our pup and our son's pup with us, this was going to be a problem. NEVR were terrific and worked it out so that we could have access to the house by 12:00 with plenty of time to settle the dogs and get dressed for the wedding!

This house has everything you could possibly need for your family vacation. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms had very comfortable mattresses and ample room in closets and dressers, and all of the rooms have been updated. Every room was immaculate when we arrived and were even able to get in one hour early when we were contacted by the agency. It's a very private location since it's located on the marsh side of the street. The only suggestion we would make is for the owners to get private beach access to facilitate getting to and from the beach with toddlers. All in all a very enjoyable vacation for our family ages 2-60!

This was our second year at the Pineapple House and it was wonderful again. The house is lovely with attention to every detail. The management company is super responsive and bends over backwards to make sure your needs are met. We asked for additional towels and almost immediately someone arrived at our door with a bag of new towels she went to buy for us! The location of the home is wonderful and is steps from a private beach. It is completely fenced so our dogs were able to safely join us. And on Wednesdays night we were able to enjoy the Harwich Port stroll from the front porch. Weather wasn’t great for us but the house didn’t disappoint. HighlyRecommend.

House was a perfect fit for our group! Perfect location! Would highly recommend this house. Kitchen stocked well. Would have liked to have some bigger pots to cook in for a larger group but we made it work. Very clean house. Rental company easy to work with and responds in a timely manner!

We just got back from our first vacation on the Cape and we stayed in the cutest little cottage right on the ocean (well not directly, you just had to walk across the tiny parking lot). The cottage was bigger than I expected with everything you need to call it home for the week including a washer dryer! 3 bedrooms, plenty of beds if you have a small brood and despite it being off season, still plenty to do locally! The rental company was awesome, I had screwed up the dates and they got it fixed right away! The woman there was in quick contact with me to help with any questions we had. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended!!

The only good thing about our rental was the location. The house was worn with dirty carpets, broken bathroom drain and moldy shower. There were broken floor tiles in the bathroom. I found a dirty washcloth over the dirty shower rod. All of the carpets hadn't been vacuumed since they were not only dirty, but there was dirt all over. The stove handle had to be jiggled to shut it off and the kitchen sink sprayer got stuck on for awhile. The air conditioners were dirty as well. NEVR expects the renter to call the cleaning company during COVID and tell them what to do. Why not inspect instead. We will never use your company again

home was not in good repair. needed lots of updates and maintenancehome was not adequately cleaned on arrival including mold in bathroom; broken bathroom tiles, dirty and stained carpeting and general poor cleaned home.SAVING GRACE IS GREAT ACCESS TO BEACH AND FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS.

We had such a lovely stay at the Great White Shack (89 George Ryder Rd)! The house is beautiful - cape charm with nice new renovations. Very clean and well taken care of. Cozy beach house feel (gas fire place in the living room, comfy couches and bedrooms) but spacious enough to fit a group, big open kitchen, large private porch with beautiful views and a nice fire pit in the back. Perfect for a few couples or a family. Newly renovated kitchen has everything you need. Two full baths + laundry. Loved the big dining table, open floor plan and the game room downstairs. Great location. Easy to get downtown, walkable to beaches. Would absolutely stay again!

Our stay at 89 George Ryder in Chatham was FANTASTIC! The cottage was super clean and SO charming. We had amazing family time in the backyard and gathering around the fire pit each night. The "game room" was a great added bonus and the location is perfect - love the proximity to the bike trail and Ridgevale Beach and just a couple minutes to Main St Chatham and all of the shops and amazing restaurants. Will definitely stay here again!

Poor communication and unable to admit when wrong. Do not use this company. We used them for renting our waterfront home and they were just one big headache. Disrespectful and out for themselves.

Just sharing the facts...Our experience with NEVR was marred by their response to three situations. The most serious situation was the presence of an excessive amount of mothballs being used inside the property, and the agency's unconcerned response to the potential consequences. After a sleepless first night and terrible headaches, my husband and I realized that we were impacted by inhalation of naphthalene fumes emitted from under the bed. We found that the storage drawers under the bed, hence under the mattress, each contained a full 4 oz bag of mothballs. We removed them to outdoors, removed the stored blankets and the drawers and left them all outside for 3-4 days before they were aired out sufficiently. Had a child or pet had the same experience, the consequences of pesticide poisoning could have been much worse and possibly even fatal. This was the dismissive response I received "Thank you so much for the feedback - we were not aware that the owner was using mothballs! We understand the need to remove them - the smell is very offensive to some. Let us know if you need a fan to help with the smell." Secondly, prior to our arrival and after we added an additional night to our stay, the portal reflected that we were going to be charged for an additional week, rather than an additional night. I emailed about this and was informed that they were aware, working to fix it , that my card had been blocked and I would be informed when it was resolved. That never happened. On my way to the Cape I received a notification that I had indeed been charged for the second week and had to contact both NEVR and my credit card company. NEVR cancelled the charge immediately after I notified them and apologized. Thirdly, the night before we left, my husband cut his foot on a sharp door edge and bled through his bandage while sleeping. When we removed our linens in the morning we observed a few very small bloodstains on the mattress cover. I had to spot clean it and leave it damp, as we were due to check out. Laundering it was not an option as the washer was apartment sized and would not accommodate it, nor was here time before checkout. I received this email inquiring about it:"Quick question - when the cleaner was out the yesterday she noticed that the quilt and the covers are all wet. It will be the quilt, two shams, four pillows covers and the two mattress cover. We are concerned about a leak because of the heavy rains or maybe there's another explanation? Any info you have would be helpful." Obviously a significant discrepancy in the reality and what was reported by the cleaners but my explanation was not questioned. There were a few smaller issues: small rot holes in the deck, no chairs for indoor seating for meals, deck covered with outdoor debris and no broom to sweep it, neighbors cut back the bushes overhanging the fence and left the cutting on our side, bed very high and may be difficult for some to get on it. Other than that the place was quiet and cute, the beach was beautiful and the weather perfect. We were invited to reserve again next year but we will not be using NEVR again. My husband and I have rented through VRBO, Home Away, Airbnb, private owners, travel agents and many hotels. This was by far the least professional experience we have ever had. I wonder if we would have been treated differently if we were renting a higher end property rather than this little duplex. We won't be back.

Great communication, house was as advertised. I didn't need to contact them during my stay which meant everything went smoothly, which is great. Will definitely use them again for my next trip to the Cape vs. VRBO/Airbnb!

My husband and I had the most incredible stay at 44 Avalon Circle. It was hands down our best Cape trip yet and I would attribute a lot of that to our stay at the house itself. It was perfect - so clean, big, amazing outdoor area and not to mention beautifully decorated. We can’t stop talking about our stay and would recommend this house to anyone if you’re looking for a magical Cape getaway!
