Please do not rent a car from this location. We booked a car online for a day through Expedia. But when we got there, staff said that they close early on Saturday's and are not open on Sundays, and we could leave the car come 8 am on Monday. So we ended up getting charged 3 times the amount for a car we had booked for one day online. They didn’t give us any other options and didn’t clarify before we booked. They just said we had to pay $300 for 3 days or find somewhere else. Staff are unhelpful and this location just cares about getting your money. The car we got was also quite dirty from the outside. Again, please do not book from this location, it is basically a scam.

Everything was going smoothly until we returned our car at 9:30 (the time we were supposed to return the car) she took the keys and said she will put it in right away. she then waited an hour to put it in and charged us the late fee. make sure you wait in the building for them to do it otherwise they will scam you. very unprofessional and will not be coming back

Very slow service this Hertz is unde-staff and the manager special is an electric car which is not posted on the Hertz website bad communication for the customer and also the car had a Inspection sticker expired. very bad service i was charge more than it was on my rental agreement online.

I was told a price at first, and also yold to return the vehicle on sunday(closed) that i was going to be charged only two days, but i was charged sunday as well as a third day. I dknt care about the price, just charge whatever they told me in person.

Completely satisfied with my rental experience. I wasn't expecting much from a satellite office WAY outside a major city but the on-site manager in Haverhill couldn't have been nicer. Pick up and drop off were both effortless and she was warm and genuinely friendly both times, even in the middle of a physical move of the office to a location across the street. The Jeep Compass I was given exceeded my expectations. It was in excellent condition, fully equipped and spotless. I booked this rental on Expedia and, again, all documentation, communication and payment information was seamlessly handled throughout.

Straight up trash place lied and said we didn't need a credit card then tell us we do when we get there plus stood around for 15 mins waiting for them while the employees were goofing off they obviously dont care with a 2.9 rating but they should be closed

Can’t explain how disappointed I am for this location. Held on hold and spoke to their customer support for over 30 mins prior explaining to them we are running late due to weather and traffic. They promised there was a 10 minute grace period at pickup. Zero customer service and support here. I was traveling across the country, got a ride from family to make it to this location only 2 mins after 12 on Saturday. Doors were locked and management was disgustingly rude. I’ve been a member for 10 years, I’m no longer going to do business with a company that doesn’t care for its customers.

I had a great experience renting from Hertz—specifically at the Haverhill Main St location. I know there are some negative reviews online, but honestly, that was not my experience at all. Quiet the opposite actually.
Even though the car I originally selected wasn’t available, the young man at the front desk made sure I was taken care of. He was professional, kind, and went out of his way to accommodate me, even upgrading me to a nicer vehicle than I had planned to rent. Totally exceeded my expectations!
I rented on a Saturday, and it was a bit busy. But despite being the only one working that morning, he handled everything smoothly and made sure every customer was helped with patience and care. It was truly a one-man show, and he went above and beyond. (I really wish I remembered his name—he deserves recognition! 😔)
Thank you, Hertz, for the great service. I’ll definitely be renting from you again!

I rented a car for a week and opted out of the toll ezpass, because I always set my GPS to avoid tolls. I followed my no-toll GPS, and yet after turning the car back in, they are claiming I DID use toll roads and charged me an astronomical $75 as if I paid the toll ezpass for EVERYDAY of my rental. Will never rent here again, beware. Guess stealing is the only way they can pad their wallets.

Don't rent with Hertz.... You pre-pay for your car, to make it easier on everyone, then you return your car 2 days earlier, bc your trip ended due to unforseen circumstances, the front desk tells you that you will get those 2 day refunded, only to see a 2 day extra LATE fee charge on your bill PLUS $25 EXTRA in taxes... and then trying to get a live agent on the phone is HORRIFIC. They also refunded me $25 too little. I am not even going to call them back, because it will be futile.
I will not rent with Hertz again. And it is not because of the one staff member in Haverhill, who clearly does his best! Because the front desk guy is AWESOME, you can see he does his best for everyone, and simply needs more help. I feel bad for him because clearly he delivers great service, but simply needs more help. It is so unfair when a business gets sold and the new owner refuses to hire extra staff to support his employees to save money. Not okay.
