Anything serious, I take them to the ER, Riverside doesn't have overnight care, and I have a cat with asthma, but they really took good care of him when he was first diagnosed.”

We have been bringing our cat Diva to NAHA for some years now. Diva is 17 years old. The vets and the staff are caring, and gentle with her. They don’t rush through her appointments. If any issues are found, the vet tells us clearly and concisely. We all discuss the treatments that are available, and what options will work best, given Diva’s temperament and her behaviors. We are very satisfied with the care that Diva is receiving, and would not bring her anywhere else.”

During a terrifying emergency, she immediately intubated my dog, stabilized him, and then rushed him to the ER with two nurses from Bradford Animal Hospital. Her quick thinking, skill, and calm under pressure made all the difference.

“We recently had to say goodbye to our golden retriever, Leo. It’s a devastating day that every pet owner dreads. We were so appreciative of the kindness shown by everyone. Thinking of things like a separate entrance to come and leave through, and serving Leo the biggest dog bowl of ice cream, complete with m&m’s, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It was a sweet gesture and one Leo loved. We never felt rushed before, during or after. Everything was handled with care and thoughtfulness. When I returned to pick up Leo’s ashes and saw the treats I had donated sitting on the counter with his name on them, it made me smile. Thank you for remembering him and thank you for everything.”

“This place truly cares!!! They had helped my dog Loki at every step and seen us whenever needed, Dr.kim is very knowledgeable, always looking out for your best interest and a very kind and compassionate person, not the type of vet that just milks you for every penny but Edgefield is truly there to help. The newer tech too who name I can’t remember…maybe Celia?…maybe I’m crazy? lol but had the dog named Boston or petey lol!! Is amazing too, we only got to meet her two times and she was great, very smart, very kind, I’m gunna actually miss seeing them now that Loki is gone, they helped us during the worst moments our lives could possibly even imagine and made us feel a little better. My heart goes out to them. I will forever bring my dogs here (if I ever get another one because it’s just a lot to loose them)… thanks for all you did for use in such a shit situation, everyone in there rocks even Ashly and charlotte at the front are always so kind! Keep up the amazing work”

“I had to put my fur baby to sleep. I was so sad and Peg who is my cats vet was extremely soothing and comforting. She showed me what was wrong and I knew he had no quality of life except for what he gave me and I gave him, LOVE! She was wonderful with him always. Highly recommend!”
“Seen for emergent dog care and I would go back. The staff were all great. Vet explained the treatment plan and range of services we may need. Unfortunately one the service (ultrasound) needed the following day was not available that weekend, can't remember if it was just for that weekend but we were transfer to their sister hospital the next day. Pet emergency can be expensive, get pet insurance if you can afford it because some will cover costs.”
“I don't even know where to begin ... Dr. Martha Lindsay is kind, compassionate and I can't thank her and her staff enough for all they did for my dog, Kota. We started seeing Dr. Lindsay a few years back when we struggled with Kota's liver values. Kota was a dog who didn't medicated easily, and surgery was not something we wanted to put her through. She bounced back through nutritional response (changing her eating and cooking for her made a huge difference!) and then homeopathy over the past few years. I do believe we got an extra few amazing years with Kota thanks to Dr Lindsay. We recently had to say goodbye to Kota - the hardest decision a pet parent ever has to make. But I know we did our best! I highly recommend Alternative Vet Services for your pets. They truly care.”
“After visiting several veterinary clinics since my primary vet retired, I discovered this wonderful practice through a Google search, and I'm so glad I did! Skye my 120 pound Rottweiler tends to get quite anxious about vet visits, despite being incredibly friendly. She's cautious when meeting new people, so finding a welcoming environment was a priority for us. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the level of care given to my dog. The two assistants were exceptionally kind and attentive, which helped her feel comfortable and significantly reduced her anxiety. Dr. Joe was fantastic—knowledgeable and reassuring, taking the time to address all my concerns thoroughly. The check out process was fast allowing me to get in and out with ease. The clinic itself was spotless and well-organized, adding to the overall positive experience. I’m thrilled to have found this place and will certainly return for all my veterinary needs!
