Stump Sprouts Ski Touring Center is an excellent place for skiing and an amazing rustic retreat. It is a phenomenal location with east and southeast views, beautiful woods, and a very rustic charm. The description on the website is correct, with lots of snow and excellent conditions even in spring. It offers an extensive network of trails right on site, which are not groomed, providing a more challenging and technical experience. The property includes a comfy dorm-like lodge, a barn for activities, a sauna, and a firepit. It is a perfect place for group stays and team retreats, providing a grounded, local spot for team-building and fond memories. The owners and operators are terrific. While the location requires careful navigation, the area is absolutely beautiful and highly recommended for Nordic skiing in winter and visits in other seasons.

Do you like elevation in your XC skiing on beautiful groomed trails? Has a mix of it all, but no rollers or large flat sections. No trail fee, but definitely donate what you're able to keep the groom. And, best part, if the day allows (check conditions on the website) dogs are allowed.

Phenomenal location with east & southeast views. Sunrise!! Comfy dorm like atmosphere. Sauna and trails right on site. Firepit. Terrific owners/operators. We enjoyed our 20 person group stay in August tremendously. Will have to consider a visit for Nordic skiing in winter!

An excellent place for skiing! The description on the website is 100% correct — there was lots of snow and excellent conditions even after spring had arrived at lower elevations.
