I went to the store yesterday, and I honestly contemplated on writing this review, but if it were my business I'd want to know. For context, i am a black woman in my 20s. Yesterday at around 3pm, when I first walked in immediately I felt like one of the associates (white, taller, heavier set woman in a blue dress with brunette hair) shot me a dirty look. At first I thought it was in my head, and I went about browsing. It wasn't until I was in the corner of the store by the employees only door, when she came walking out, stopped mid track gave me a look up and down a really rude scowl and walked past me. I was immediately taken aback and said out loud "what was that about?" She ignored me and kept walking right past and was shooting me dirty looks through out my time in the store. I honestly felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'm not going to assume what this rude associate's reasoning was, but it felt like she was targeting me, as i was the only person of color in the store at the time. Not once did any employee ask if I needed help or ask if I was finding everything okay, not once did they even acknowledge me being in the store, as I watch them greet every other person that walked in after me. It's unfortunate because I actually liked a lot of the things I saw, but I couldn't bring myself to purchase anything from people that were treating me like I was less than. Who ever that blue dress associate should really not be allowed to be near customers and needs to be evaluated for her discriminatory behavior. I will not be going back to this location for that reason alone, and I hope that this behavior is addressed and corrected.

My mom and I actually got kicked out of the store yesterday. The woman (dark hair, ponytail, tallish) working the register was extremely rude and after about 20 minutes of browsing with my mom and sister, she announced to everyone in the store that the register wasn't working and we could put all of our stuff on hold until later today or tomorrow, but that she couldn't check any of us out. I watched a couple of people's reactions and I know nobody complained, even though she was INCREDIBLY rude about it. I was even about to ask her what the problem she was having with the computer was because I'm a big tech n**** and decided not to because at that exact moment she snapped at 2 customers who hadn't heard her and brought their stuff up to the counter. She then proceeded to harass those of us still browsing and one girl told her that it was okay and she just wanted to pick her stuff out to put on hold. I was doing the same. The woman then proceeded to tell us to get out of the store!! I could not believe it! She screamed at us like we were shoplifting! I went back today and not one person apologized when I asked for my held items. I even mentioned that I felt extremely uncomfortable and attacked by the way things had been dealt with yesterday, hoping maybe that would prompt a "we're so sorry for making you come back on Christmas Eve and for kicking you out of the store yesterday out of nowhere!" NOPE. Nothing. Out of the entire staff - 3 of them today - nobody even hinted at an apology. CRAZY. I will never go back there and if it wasn't Christmas Eve I would have said that, but I didn't want to ruin the holiday spirit for the customers in the store. This was the rudest customer service I have ever received, and these are grown women. Pathetic...

Whoever was working the door at around 3:30pm yesterday, Sunday December 20th, 2020 is what is wrong with humanity. Covid does not = I can be nasty and tyrannical to anyone who crosses my path. Get off your high horse and find a job that does not require you to interact with humans.

Everything sold there was my style. I have not had any notable experiences with staff.

I recently purchased earrings as part of their buy 2 get it for $25. I walked up and asked the store associate if I should return my earrings now or just swap it for something else when I'm all set and she gave me an odd blank stare and told me I was fine. So, I went my way and picked out another piece of jewelry and some other items. Check out came and the computer system or user error did not honor the buy 2 get it for 25. I noticed it once my receipt was printed and nicely told her I thought it might be wrong. From there, it was a nightmare. She handed the slip to what I assumed was a manager and neither spoke to me. I figured out what must have happened and tried to explain it and I got silence and eye rolls. Only until the end did the associate tell me that she was refunding me money. I assume she refunded the correct amount? I don't even know. I was so shocked at the odd and rude behavior that I wanted to get out of there. I will be sending an email to corporate as this behavior is extremely unacceptable and it is not the first time I've noticed such rude behavior before in that store. They need some SERIOUS retraining.

Work staff was very rude. Did not help, gave dirty looks, and did not treat my teenage daughters respectfully. Disappointed, will not be purchasing again from here. Price points overrated for the quality. Do not come.

As soon as I walked in the store I felt very welcomed. The girls were very friendly and professional. I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for but they took their time in helping me to pick out the most beautiful outfit. I will definitely be back. One of my favorite stores!! Thank you Girls

My daughter and I shop at this store wherever we can find one. I love the deals and the fun clothes and gifts. However, beware of Derby Street, Hingham store. My daughter and I went in when there was a "Buy one/Get One Half Off sale." The two sales associates were not friendly from the moment we walked in and they were chatting and ignoring customers. When I left with my purchase I noticed the 50% was not taken off my purchase of $183. When I asked the sales associate about it said she put up signs for the sale for the following day. That is crazy. I was shopping in the store for over 45 minutes expecting to get 50% off my second item and not once did either of the sales associates say anything to me or my daughter. So she asked if I wanted my 50% off. I said yes (of course!!). If the store is advertising a sale, they should honor what they advertise. From then on it was a nightmare. The sales associate rudely grabbed the receipt out of my hand and flung it in the air. She proceeded to bang on the register without talking to me and without making eye contact. She continued to fling my purchases out of the bag. She took my credit card and completed some transactions that I had no idea what she was doing and when I asked she got extremely angry. I said I did not understand the tension to which I got angry replies. My daughter was so upset at this point at this woman's aggressive behavior that she left the store to wait for me outside. When she finished I asked if she was the manager and she said yes was as she glared me in the face. I am absolutely horrified that a manager of a store or ANYONE would treat someone like that. She was extremely confrontational and aggressive. She proceeded to walk me to the door as they were closing and sarcastically told me to have a good night. If I shop in a store that is advertising a sale, I expect they should honor it and honor it without a scene. I was extremely upset when I left that store after shopping with my daughter. My daughter and I absolutely refuse to go back to that store.
