Went in on a Friday evening to pick up some pieces for my mom for Christmas. She adores the store and I always find something good when I go in for her.I had a great experience with the associate at the counter. So helpful. However, as I was standing at the counter being assisted, a woman who I have to assume was the store manager began behaving in a way that was completely inappropriate to act around customers. She began talking about regretting hiring an employee and asking the associate who was helping me-let’s call her associate #1- why associate #1 let the manager hire this other woman- associate #2. At that point, it was already plenty inappropriate to speak this way in front of a customer. I stood there awkwardly and any sense of comfort dissipated. I then quickly realized the manager was gossiping about associate #2 who was toward the front of the store mere feet away. A customer browsing walks in and after a couple minutes walks out. The manager walks quickly toward the entrance and throws her hands up in disbelief at associate #2 for letting the customer leave. What was she supposed to do.. hold the customer down and demand she like one of the pieces in the store? I DO NOT want to watch that. It made me feel so uncomfortable. Yes you want the sale, no you do not want to show customers how badly you want it that you’re willing to treat your employees with that level of aggression. I was prepared to buy more, but I decided I would look and order online instead. My experience would have been 5 stars if the manager would have behaved in a professional manner. Instead she behaved like a catty little girl. I feel badly for associate #2 and can only imagine how the manager treats her when there are no customers around.

I walk in this store and see all my former purchases on the sale rack. Now I browse online and shop in store! Love their clothes, and they have Petites!

Excellent,personalized service. I went in needing an outfit for an upcoming appointment. Tracy found many options and was such a good listener as to my likes and needs. This store has a large inventory of all of the JJill lines of clothing,with many options to select from. Customer service was outstanding,as is the outfit I will be happily wearing later this week. :)

My wife was a J. Jill customer for about 20 years, and all her bills were paid on time. On the most recent, due to a combination of being out of town and getting sick, she was charged a $25 late fee, and $2.50 interest. She called the bank twice, and they would do nothing. So, because of being one day late, they have lost a customer. A pathetic example of "customer service." The ultimate oxymoron.

Great collection of linen items. Colors, combinations everything is so perfect for summer. Shirts has a nice touch of formal looks as well. Everyone in the store is very friendly and with great smile.

You get the best service from the Hingham store. I have bought their clothes for over 15 years. The fabrics are fabulous. JJill has the best look in woman's fashion. Great Sales!!!!
