My favorite shop on the South Shore - I always find wonderful things here for myself and as gifts. Nan, the owner, is a truly marvelous shop keeper.

I love this store! Nan does a wonderful job curating the store with beautiful home goods, linens and gifts. I have bought many things here from lamps (photos attached), to sheets and special gifts for birthdays. There is always something new and lovely here.

Truly the best French-inspired home decor store in the New England area. The owner has an amazing eye for quality and style. You feel as though you've been transported to a shop in Paris. Definitely worth a day-trip from Downtown Boston. We come down often.

I entered the shop in hopes of outfitting my recently-built kitchen with French linens, and was quickly put off by the sullen and suspicious eye of the clerk. After a quick purchase, I left feeling quite uncomfortable by her unfriendliness. I will not return, as browsing the lovely items was a dreadfully uncomfortable experience.

Beautifully curated Francophile's dream store located in downtown Hingham. Those looking to window shop will find themselves drawn in! Parking: -free parking curbside in Hingham, easily walkable from anywhere downtown. Ambiance/Merchandise: -as mentioned above, well-curated store with endless possibilities for gifts, kitchenware, linens (including tableware and sleepware), baby items, and so on. -most merchandise is French or has some French lineage/ties (which I love!): French cookbooks, Eiffel Tower Christmas ornaments, salt cellars and cheese knifes/boards on shelf upon shelf! -gift wrapping available Price: -for small gift items (for your home, or a friend), this shop is the place to go. They've got a healthy selection of items $20 or less that would make terrific birthday gifts, stocking stuffers, baby shower prizes, and so on. -for basically anything else, expect to pay an inordinate amount for what is very probably high-quality-- but everyday-- items. A pair of pajamas I thought were cute were $200 for example. Staff: -unfortunately, when we visited, I felt quite a bit "under the thumb" of the sales associates while shopping. We were not greeted, but I personally felt we were followed around, likely due to the fact that we don't look like 99% of their clientele (we had just come back from a hike in Wampatuck State Park, for reference). -when we checked out, it felt as though we were hardly acknowledged, only the bare bones of politeness. Perhaps it was because we only spent $10. Truly a beautiful store-- I'd love to come back time and time again-- but it feels like they only "acknowledge" patrons who "look" like they "belong" in the store. The rest of us might be subjected to a scrutinizing side-eye until we check out, or leave, without buying a $200 set of pajamas.
