Taconic provides the best summer experience there is. I have been going there for 8 summers and every year just gets more fun, exciting, and memorable. The friends I have made at camp with my bunk mates and counselors are some of the most precious relationships I have. The entire staff is friendly and amazing. The activities are great for all ages and the special events such as color war are my favorite days of the year.

Nightmare camp. This is not a safe environment for your child. If giving negative stars was an option, I would. The facilities are nice; but the staff are awful and the campers are worse. When the youngest campers misbehave they make them run around a tree with only their underware on, while counselors laugh and make fun of them. Jason, the director, is an idiot, and can NOT be trusted. Stay far away from this camp if you are looking in the Berkshires area. As someone who loves camp this place traumatized my child and it took 2 years to recover. Run, don't walk. The only reason we did not press charges was so our child did not have to live through the nightmare endured by testifying. The staff - many who went to the camp - take on the culture of the bunk and add on to intolerable behavior and bullying, instead of helping. This place does not care about their campers; only making money. They try to cover up their awful behavior and it's not a safe choice to send your child to, especially younger children. Please, please do not put your child's safety in their hands.

This is the worst place I have ever been to. Kids are MEAN and bullies. Everyone is nasty. The food is awful.

Camp Taconic truly is a special place. I went here a few years ago for my first summer, absolutely terrified. I didn’t know what to expect. But, Camp Taconic is the best place I’ve ever been too. They succeed my requirements for fun more then I deem, and each summer truly is a memory. I go to sleep missing camp, and everyday I countdown the days until camp starts again. Taconic is the best place to send your kids too. The food is amazing, the staff is exceptional, and the people you meet are excatic. You are able to keep your bunk the same throughout your years here, and you form strong bonds with people. The Senior Staff are nice and funny, and you really get to show off your interests and be independent here. If you’re looking for a place to send your kids, choose Taconic!

We celebrated our wedding at Camp Taconic with 150 friends and family and it was the most incredible experience of our lives. We visited Taconic about a year ago, along with several other wedding venues, and none could compare. We wanted a place where we would have enough time to actually see and connect with the people at our wedding, where there was no bedtime and we had the freedom to do what we wanted. Camp Taconic beat other camps for three main reasons: 1) the Playhouse, where we had our reception, is a GORGEOUS building right on the lake that needs very little work to make it a beautiful space, 2) the camp comes with ~30 “motel rooms” with full beds and bathrooms for those guests who can’t handle the bunks, 3) JASON AND CHRIS!!! who made our wedding weekend possible. Jason was our point of contact at the camp and we’ve never worked with someone so responsive and helpful. Seriously, we’d email him a question and 9 times out of 10 we’d get a response in 30 minutes or less. The camp put on a great Friday barbecue and an incredible BONFIRE that lasted well into the night. On Saturday, Chris orchestrated the most hilarious and insane wedding olympics ever for us and all our guests. Jason and Chris also worked directly with all our vendors and our wedding planner to make sure the main event went off without a hitch. When it looked like it would rain during our ceremony, Jason and the team set up two locations just in case and helped ferry all the bridesmaids and bride through the rain in golf carts. Heroes!! They also provided a great space for our afterparty...which went until 4am. We had the wedding of our dreams at Camp Taconic, can’t wait to do it again for our 10 year anniversary :D

Top notch leadership team with incredible facilities. They are constantly finding new ways to add value for current and prospective campers. 100% planning on sending my kids there.

A pretty miserable two years at this camp. A lot of the kids are snobby and mean, the food is horrible, and the upper staff aren’t very nice. The facilities are pretty good tho the lake especially is beautiful
