“I love walking around Polillio’s garden center. This wonderful family business, is run by Randy, his father Ralph, and his sister Ali. Been shopping there for a while and I always go back because they offer an excellent selection and phenomenal service. I get excellent service from Randy who is kind, honest, and very knowledgeable. Randy has a degree in plant and soil science from Univ of Mass. I call him Professor Randy.
I have purchased a lot perennials, shrubs, and trees from Polillio’s over the years and have enclosed pictures of some of the purchases. The hardiest, most beautiful perennial I bought at Polillios is the Pardon Me Daylily, which is pictured below in front of the rock. I also like the 3 coreopsis, which were planted around my mailbox (see picture). Both the coreopsis and the daylily are excellent for animal prone gardens. My property has a lot of deer and rabbits. As a regular customer, I was given a 10% discount on everything seen in the pictures. Go see Randy, who has a welcoming personality, and he will take great care of you.”

“We were on a mission for bird baths! So happy we stopped in! The woman who helped us (wish I got her name) was wonderful! She showed us everything she had and it was much more than I expected! I didn’t want a metal bird bath and got introduced to a glass top with a frame bottom! I loved them! I bought one with the taller base and one with a shorter base. I also purchased a ceramic table top one which we put on the ground for my critters to drink from. The prices were great and I got a few! I was going to try to spend the same one a stone one I had been looking at but didn’t like it because it wasn’t deep enough. So I’m glad we went to Wyman’s garden center! So many other things to look at next trip in!”

I just wanted to add my experience after my recent visit. From the road it doesn’t look like much but boy do they have all sorts of plants, shrubs, trees etc.
I stopped by to replace shrubs in front of my house that weren't doing well because of being the wrong plant for the location. I did some searching on the internet and came in with some idea of what I might want. Upon entering everyone that was working greeted me with a hello and smile. After looking around I decided I needed help finding the plants I was looking for. I asked and they said they had them but weren't quite sure where they were located, but said let me get someone who does. Boom she takes me to both plants I was looking for and after seeing them in person it was not what I wanted. I then asked her for some help. She was tremendous at taking me to no less than half a dozen plants that would work in the location, be the correct size and water and sun tolerant.
Next, while poking around earlier I saw a perennial that I planted that was not working out well in its current location. I again asked for help on what to put there instead. I showed her the companion plant and then she grabbed that companion plant and started putting options next to them for me to visualize. Very helpful.
They will be my go to stop from now on. As I said earlier I had at least 6 people acknowledge me and smile while browsing and the knowledge and service is top notch. Keep up the great work.”

The flooring aisle had a large selection of 50 lb bags of mix as well as 1-5 gallon size tubs of prepared spread, all of which were too large for our small repair. “ARWINDA IS THE BEST! She has such a kind soul. She saw my trying to get rid of my change at the self serve register and when I overloaded the machine she did everything in her power to fix the issue. When the next option was using the register, I did not want to make a Worker count coins so I decided to pay with regular dollars and arwinda Pushed the other Worker gently aside to let them know that she was going to count the change and even when I said no, I don’t wanna make you do that. She kept counting the change. She ended up counting $11 and change quarters nickel and dimes and not only did she take my payment in coins she exchanged four dollars of quarters that I had and Gave Me dollar bills instead she is truly remarkable.”

“I just showed up 20 minutes before closing and returned a ridiculous amount of Christmas lights and electrical boxes. The guy working was so patient with me. I had so many receipts and he was more than accommodating.
Also in general this store has gotten a lot better over the last few years. They updated the layout in some sections and have been stocking better items.”

“Cochato nursery is a great place to visit. Over the past couple of months, I purchased perennials, and trees from Sue at Cochato Nursery that have improved my landscape significantly:
1) Evergreen ferns. Bought 4 to plant under pine trees along with three sun kings (see photo 4).
2) Japanese Stewartia (photo 2). Sue says “it’s the best tree in the whole lot.” I saw a mature Stewartia in her garden and the bark looked incredible.
3) Bought an Upright Red Japanese Maple. Sue said it’s an upgrade over a Bloodgood Japanese Maple. Around the maple, Sue suggested to plant purple salvia and ornamental onion (Allium). See photo 1.
4) I bought five June Hostas to alternate with five Astible perennials I already had under a tree (see photo 3). Recently, went back and bought 2 more June Hostas that look great in my window box (see photo 7).
5) Sue’s design ideas were very helpful in fixing the area around my driveway. Five lamium plants are thriving in partial to full shade. And three coreopsis with two yellow wax bells look great opposite the lamium plants (see photos 5 & 6).
6) Got an evergreen called cryptomeria that was planted between rose bushes (photo 8). As of 9/30/26, the cryptomeria is doing the best along with the Japanese maple, the June Hostas, and the lamium. I would definitely recommend buying them from Cochato nursery.”
