I moved in Boston in September and had a great experience with RB Cooke. Their movers were extremely polite and professional. You have to call to schedule but they accommodated my moving schedule and their rates were reasonable. Would highly recommend!

It’s like Hotel California. I have been trying for 2 months to gain access to our property but no one is ever there. It’s as if they have a business model that is all about making sure no one can ever retrieve anything.

We had a fantastic experience with R.B. Cooke. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. Our 3BR house was emptied in about two hours, and they unloaded everything at the new place in about the same time. If we ever need to move locally again, we'll definitely give them a call.

Family owned, they work with their customers on specs and details on all levels of moving whether you are upgrading to a bigger place or down sizing.

These guys are the best! I needed a complicated, multi-stop job done in Boston and NYC (a major headache-think of the parking issues!), and they were on time, careful, well-prepared for all the complexities, and completely straightfoward and fair about the pricing. I don't use anyone else!

R B Cooke's moving team was competent though not particularly friendly. They did have quite a bit of work to do. I had only packed up about 65% of my property so they did the rest. Some problems: Three men were sent to move a piano and a king size bed. One of the men was on the small side. I was concerned that he may injure himself but he seemed to know how to lift it in a way to prevent this. They also forgot to move my microwave despite the fact that I repeatedly reminded them. It actually cost less to hire another mover than to purchase another. This brings me to the greatest problem of all for R B Cooke. They were extraordinarily expensive. I used them on the basis of a friend's recommendation because they were allegedly expert piano movers. Nevertheless they lined the piano up flush against the wall and now I am getting sympathetic vibrations when I play. It also prevented me from plugging in the dehumidifier, something not normally used in MA but since it was so hot when I moved I wanted to use this device put into the piano in FL. Additionally despite the fact that their website says that "no object is too heavy" they made a stressful day more stressful by suggesting the piano may not be able to be taken down. They also broke 2 dishes. Ralph, one of the movers, refused to take a dime off for the forgotten microwave. I spoke with Joyce about this and she said after my bill is fully paid we can talk about a claim form. I'll give it a try but do not have high hopes at all. I am rather doubtful of this company's honesty. Furthermore because they are "family owned and operated" it took several weeks to get an appointment with them. Their refusal to take responsibility for the missing microwave makes R B Cooke a mistake I will not make again. All of these problems makes R B Cooke an experience I do not wish to repeat.
