I was assisted by Rhonda, who was an absolute standout — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping. Her positive attitude made the whole experience feel personal, and she went above and beyond to point me in the right direction. More associates like Rhonda make a real difference in the shopping experience.
It was also evident that animal welfare is a priority here. The live animals on display appeared healthy, well-cared-for, and in clean, appropriate environments — always a good sign and something I personally appreciate when evaluating a pet store.

Pet food — both cat and dog — is located toward the back of the store, while supplies feel spread out across different sections without a clear flow. A more intuitive layout or better signage near the entrance would go a long way in helping shoppers navigate efficiently, especially first-timers.
Overall, Petco in Shrewsbury is a solid choice for pet owners. Strong selection, attentive staff, and animals that are clearly well looked after.
